i thought more indica strains give u the hunger. I would try a hybrid thats like 60% sativa, 40% indica that way you dont get couched locked. No offense but what medical condition makes u need to have hunger? like r u anorexic?

maybe ubc chemo, would help with nausea so would think it would make you eat, think its mainly indica though. ripz at potpimp crossed it with c99, making ubc 99 which is 50/50 indi/sat so maybe that, not sure if there are any left might be worth checking though

its not letting me link and now doing this????

"Chronic Anxiety with cyclitic vomiting" and i have IBS.

.

Check out Subcool's strains, this one looks good for appetite while being stimulating but I'm not sure if you'll be functional while high.

.
Jc2, Jacks Cleaner 2

I truly feel it’s the most dominant strain I have ever worked with. Lemon and resin are always passed on in spade, these are very stable displaying only a couple of phenotype, no matter which phenotype you get its heavily lemon, mango fruit and will produce large thick plants with an exceptional high. Developed: TGA (Spain)

  • 60% Sative / 40% Indica
  • 65-70 days bloom
  • SOG Suitable
  • Heavy Odour
  • Lemon and ground coffee aroma
  • Very High Resin Profile
  • Stocky Vigorous Plants
  • indoor/outdoor
  • appetite stimulant

Exceptionally medicinal and very moreish, please do not over indulge

.

Do you have any other criteria other than: appetite and not sedative?

1. Onset: fast effect or creeper.
creeper 1 2 3 4 5 fast

2. Up (stimulating) and Down (sedative)
Liven the disposition and stimulate the emotions:

4. Emotional State Caused

5. Body - medicinal effects

etc

6. Head - medicinal effects

7. Ceiling: How high (of far) one is capable of going with the variety. How many hits can be consumed until more hits are unnoticeable.

8. Potency: weak 1 2 3 4 5 strong

9. Duration
short 1 2 3 4 5 long

10. Tolerance:
ability to provide the same experience via the same amount over time – the burnout factor. "Over time" means the long run: months, years, decades...

NiceGrow this is a list of observations that some medical patients made about strains that help with their symptoms. Certainly not a complete list, just what I've been able to gather. It's a few years old, but the observations are still valid, it's just missing strains.

There may be no single strain that fits what you want perfectly, you may have to go with two. Treating physical symptoms while remaining clear and lucid takes careful strain choosing. I find that stimulating lucidity usually goes with strains treating mental symptoms such as anxiety or depression - problems usually originating in the brain. Moving down to the digestive track often takes a sedative indica or a stimulating sativa so strong (like Super Silver Haze) that you may not be functional.

.

Nausea

Nausea, Diarrhea & Cramping (including Menstrual): Blueberry

Digestive Disorders: Blueberry, Blackberry, Black Domina

Appetite Stimulant/Spasms: TY's Northernberry x Reefermans herijuana, Catalyst,

Purple Kush: helps my stomach and bleeds off my stress/anxiety.

New York City Diesel- This strain tends to put a bit of 'tightness' in my chest. A 7-8 for pain control, and an odd discernable head buzz. This tends to come on slowly for me. Small munchie factor. I've read this strain is great for depression as well, probably good for anxiety too.

Anti nausea strains: (I have BAD nausea due to a bad liver, kidney disfunction, and mental trauma/PTSD) RomSpice, Silver Haze, Romulan, NY Sour Diesel, M-39, Blue Moonshine, are ALL excellent- their effectivness is in order from greatest to lesser- but all of them work very well.

(Auntie Em) Crohn's Disease, MS

(Blue Satellite) Pain, nausea, insomnia, anxiety, muscle tension

(Firecracker) Anxiety, depression, nausea

**(Kali Mist) Nausea, depression, anxiety

(LSD) Nausea, anxiety, depression, headache

(Shiskaberry x Hash Plant) Anxiety, nausea

.

Anxiety
Social Anxiety: Romulan, NL#5, Hindu Kush, OG Kush, Bubba Kush

Sleep & General Relaxation: Sonoma Coma, Lifesaver, Matanuska Thunder Fuck, XXX, Legends Ultimate Indica, Sensi Star.

Anti Anxiety/Sleep: Blue Moonshine, Jack Herrer, M-39, Herijuana

AK-47-pain relief, day dreaming, anti stress

AK-47- A more 'active' high, pretty decent munchie factor after a few minutes, and a very pleasant mental haze. Pain relief is definitely also a good plus with this one: an 8 for neuropathic pain, and a 9 for muscular pain. Effects are felt instantly, and although it's very potent, it doesn't make my heart race at all.

(Big Bang) Used to sedate and relieve stress & anxiety amongst sufferers of severe anxiety,etc.(EDITED/ADDED by Apprentice.Source Greenhouse Seeds Co.)Cannabis cup winner, the reviews mention its medicinal properties

Trainwreck: Anti-anxiety. Muddled my thoughts a bit but not too much to be disturbing. Good painkiller. Slight heartrate elevation. Extreme munchee inducer

Nevles Haze is really good for psychiactric conditions, mood, and anxiety. I love Sensi-Star for it's ability to control muscle pain and nausea. It also has a wonderful aroma and taste to boot.

Medicine Man- Excellent for neuropathic pain. I've been told by some that this is another name for White Rhino....although it doesn't seem to have as 'active' a quality as I expected from this strain. More than any other strain, this cannabis creates a fogging mental haze that can be shaken off if necessary, but really helps with perception of pain. I give this a 10 out of 10 for pain control and general anti-anxiety/mood elevation, however, I'd save it for the night- it's not the most motivating thing in the world, although it is possible to become productive if you push yourself enough.

M-39- Very happy, decent bodily relaxation, excellent anti-anxiety, and good for cramps.

NY Sour Diesel is excellent for anxiety, as is Bubblegum. SD gives an almost tangible sense of relaxation in the head- it killed a developing migraine before it started.

(Bog Sour Bubble) Pain, anxiety

.

** Kali Mist - I'm growing this now NiceGrow, floaty euphoric high and I have noticed that it helps me with my digestive problem (probably something like IBS). It also flowers 14 weeks, which is a drawback if it's your only strain. Simon advertises that some women find that Kali Mist helps with menstrual cramps. I've got to have a volcano bag or two before I leave the house in the morning to settle my intestines. (I don't have severe nausea problems, just intestinal)

Also check out Cotton Candy by Federation. I've never had it but it's on my short list, forum member frmrboi has had it and recommends it highly. Clear while giving pain relief, I've been looking around for info on gastrointestinal relief from Cotton Candy but have found none so far. If it helps nausea it could be like the holy grail for med patients.

Choosing the breeder is as important as the strain. If any of those strains catch your eye, post the name and we'll suggest the breeders we all like best.

Me too! You're right. Not all strains make you hungry. I'm beginning to think they took "hungry" OUT of Pot! As I am ALWAYS trying to gain weight, I am looking for pot that makes me hungry.

Indicas dont seem to make me any more hungry than sativas. thats really not a big deciding factor IMO.

i took care of a colo/rectal cancer patient and G13 labs Pineapple Express was a big appetite stimulator for her and everyone else for that matter. however it was very sativa too.
Nirvana Venus Flytap was almost as appetite stimulating, but gave a different type of high giving better all around medicine. a little more skunky tasting too. those have been probably the most appetite stimulating strains ive ever smoked or grown period. casey jones in 3'rd

i like strong indicas... but as medicine they are best used for anti-anxiety, insomnia, muscle relaxer, etc. some people get so lazy they wont be interested in making the effort to eat. eating is a work out for some people who suffer from various illnesses
