Strains outdoor at northern latitude with flavoursome terpene profiles?

Most outdoor strains Ive had experience of are cheesy or diesel at best. Nothing wrong with those flavours, I love 'em, but I'm looking for a little variety. I grew some super lemon haze and a few other hazes one year - most of them succumbed to PM at the end of our short season, but the ones I did get to save were beautiful.

So what are your go to flavonoid and terpene pumping unique strains for outdoor northern latitude?
 
I gave out some white papaya cuts last summer and they finished Oct 4 at 46° north. The grower did well with them. Loud Floral-gas terps, with good effects
 
My buddy finished these at 53N last year. Finished in late September... pretty amazing for a sativa. Beautiful 8ft sativa spears smelling of forest fruits, lime and pine/cedar. beautiful pink pistols too. Picked up 2 packs for myself for next year.

they look great - I might get some. I was hoping to start saving seed though, and I just don't have enough space to breed out an F1 and do a pheno hunt like that. maybe i'll just squeeze a couple in somewhere .
 
Have a look at realgorillaseeds all bred or sold by panik his lines are all mostly bred for outdoor growing in the north they even do ok in the uk and nordic countries he has a decent selection as well

I second this one. I gave clones to a few friends and they were speechless at how fast colas are developing. They started bud sites mid June. Mid july now in southwest ontario and it will be done by 1st week of September. I will grow it indoors next month with the need to go 14/10, 13/11, and after 4 weeks i go to 12/12. Beautiful plant. The Aceseeds Killer A5 (haze variety) is a potent beast.

If you are up north, use a dew shield over plants (4 poles + clear plastic top) to prevent mold in september/october.
 
I'm at almost 56N in Alberta and going with autos again this year. Took until almost the end of Oct for a so-called auto to finish up last year and that's too much hassle so have 9 autos out there. Most are CBD but have 3 Mazarilla auto fems by Urban Legends starting to flower now at 20" tall that are a cross of Mazar auto with GG4 auto so should get some sweet smelling bud off them. 4 of the hi-CBD ones were auto regs so 2 days ago dug up one that has gone full male and have him in the bedroom closet under 2 - 2700K 100w equiv bulbs to collect pollen and make more of those seeds with his sisters.

We can't plant outside until about the 7th of June and June started wet and cold then we got the heat wave and I lost some of the CBD ones as I just planted sprouted seeds but the Mazar got 3" tall in small pots before planting and are doing really well.

Maybe in Ontario but here in n. Alberta it's dry as a popcorn fart in the fall. That heat wave really trapped the humidity in for a while and I've never seen the RH so high in the 20 years I've lived here. Low RH for most of the year that is a PITA to get up in the grow room so I've adapted by feeding less to prevent toxic salts buildup and it seems to be working.

I had to build a greenhouse around my one outdoor plant last year and put a heater in with a heavy blanket over it when it was hitting -15C with snow at night. Just autos now tho that one was supposed to be auto but grew reg. Got a pound of all CBD bud off her tho so was almost worth the hassle.

In alberta you get tons of sun. In your green house, place black water containers. In the day the sun heats them and at sunset they start giving off heat captured.

For dry areas, a DIY swamp cooler.

It was supposed to be an auto but grew as a regular. That's why it got 5ft tall with colas as big as my calves. Flowering didn't even start until mid-Aug and it looks to be a 10week or more plant. I have it's clone flowering now so I'll make sure this one finishes full term and see how long it takes for sure.

I know about hat trick but when it's -15C at night and barely hitting +10 in the day it's not so good. The greenhouse I put around it had no room for containers.

I reccomend checking out paniks stuff (realgorillaseeds)bred for uk climates and the like or friesland indica from kwik seeds or hybrids from hell gear they are defunct now i think so might be a hard find but the other two easy to get

A lot depends on how long in the season you can go before you start getting frost/snow. If you have a greenhouse you can extend the season up to a month on either end but the days will be a lot shorter at both ends too. If you started plants say in March under 18/6 light then put them in the greenhouse in may they are going to go into flower right away then as the days get longer they will want to go back to veg then start flowering again once the days begin to shorten. In the spring you can prevent them going into flower with a few light bulbs on a timer to kick in during their night for an hour or so as it tricks them into thinking it's a longer day. (like plants can think eh. :) )

That's for photo period plants where good autos should just flower when they are ready even in shorter days and continue flowering as the days get longer. Their flowering is on a time schedule and not a light schedule and continue growing in size as they flower unlike photos that basically stop upward growth once they are done their stretch. My autos are well into beginning to flower but still growing upwards at an inch or more per day but is that stretching or just their normal growing. I'm not certain but my tallest one grew an inch since yesterday and it's been overcast and quite smoky here for the last 3 or 4 days. All those fires in BC are smogging us out here in Alberta.

I'd get yourself some good auto fem seeds and give it a go next year. Our power prices are going up another 25 - 28% from what I just heard on the radio. Their reason is that with all the demands on the grid from air con etc they have to raise prices. WTF! Tehy are selling max power for max profits and that somehow justifies raising prices? With everything else the more they sell prices usually come down but we, thanks to our current provincial dictator removing rate caps, are getting screwed in the ass hard and without lube!!! My last bill was 26.5¢/kwh and almost $500. I don't even get a senior's discount.

If I get enough pot off my outdoor crops I don't need to grow so much inside and can just do some seed breeding all winter and use a lot less power.

I'd sure give it a try.
