Hi all,
I've done a ton of research on this & can't quite figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!
Here's the story.
Purchased a new 1000w quantum series 2 (digital) ballast. Came with new digilux 1000 hps. Plugged in, ballast hums, bulb never lights. Contacted seller, was sent another bulb. 2nd bulb, no strike. Sent a THIRD digilux , no strike. I test an xtrasun bulb on it, fires right up, every time. Figured seller had bad bulbs. Go purchase a new eye hortilux (for eballasts). Fires right up. After 3 nights using, notice isn't striking. Unplug ballast, plug back in, it fires. Next night though, no strike, no matter how many times I power cycle. Plug in the xtrasun, fires right up, no issues. Continues to fire the xtrasun every night.
All bulbs 1000w hps.
What in God's name is going on here ?
Running on dedicated 15amp circuit.
