strange leaf growth after topping plants

I topped my plants and all of them have grown 3 or 4 heads, but the leaves are 3 petals instead of 5. is this a problem?

LOL, not at all, you shifted growth to branches and the first regeneration will be 3 pointers. 5's are bound to follow. Sounds like you fimmed instead of topped and will get 4 colas per plant.
