Strange question

HI, I AM A FIRST TIME GROWER AND I HAVE A QUESTION. I GUESS I MIGHT HAVE LET MY PLANTS GROW TO MUCH BEFORE CHANGING THE LIGHT CYCLE
I PLANTED AT THE END OF AUGUST AND CHANGED THE LIGHT CYCLE AT THE BEGINNING OF NOV. PLANTS STARTED FLOWERING ( I AM TRYING 3 DIFFRENT KINDS AND I AM AFRAID THAT i AM GOING TO RUN OUT OF ROOM BECAUSE THE FLOWERING STARTED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOV AND MY PLANTS CONTINUE TO GROW UP I HAVE 3 OF THEM THAT ARE OVER 5 FEET TALL AND FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND WON'T BE READY TO HARVEST UNTIL MID JAN.

I AM USING FLURESCENT LIGHTS, AND I WAS JUST USING WORM CASINGS (ADDING SOME TO THE TOP OF THE SOIL AROUND THE ROOT SYSTEM PRIOR TO WATERING. WHEN I PUT THEM TO FLOWERING THE LEAVES ON THE BOTTOM STARTED TO DROOP AND AFTER LOOKING AT YOUR HOSPITAL I STARTED WITH A DILUTED MIRACLE GROW FOR TOMATOES (THIS SEEMS TO HAVE HELPED THE LEAVES) I ALSO THOUGHT THAT I MIGHT SPRAY WITH COMPOST TEA BUT I ONLY HAVE A COUPLE OF FEET LEFT BEFORE I HIT THE CEILING ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO SLOW UPWARD GROWTH WHILE PRESERVING THE BUDS? ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. P.S. I AM ALSO GETTING CRAZY

Try low-stress training or topping them.
Start to slowly bend the tip-top back and forth, then around in a circle until it becomes softer and more flexible. Work your way down until you can wrap it around itself. This will stop growth upwards and direct the flow of energy back to the lower extremities. BE CAREFUL!

What kind of setup are you using? I suggest that you try topping. Here's a guide on that.

EDIT: Here's a pic of what low-stress training looks like View attachment 2423516

^^^^^I don't think that's a picture of topping. That's a picture of LSTing. If her plants are already 5" tall, the stems will probably be very stiff -- not sure she can bend them over without breaking them.

I LST when my plants are young -- maybe someone with more experience LSTing later in grows can weigh in here.

That's what I meant. I apologize for being stoned? XD
I've had to LST my later grows before. The stems will crack inside a little, but it helps the vertical growth cease. I definitely know what you mean about them being too hard.
However, I recommend that she tries topping, either way. It seems like she wants more of a 'bush' shape for her grow situation, but I'm not sure. This will help the plants yield more as well.

PICTURES? :p
And here's a link to a How-to guide on LST found on rollitup.

topping is not a good idea in flower. Trying to LST could be an option but will stress out the plants and be difficult because i assume the stems are thick at 5ft tall. Also keep in mind that vertical growth will slow further into flowering as the plants start to produce flowers.
