Strange Smell And Fiilm On Water

i set up my nft system last night.. woke up this morning and found like a film on top of my water when touched it forms in like a boogy texture and smells quite bad any1 heard of this befor ??

any suggestions would be great!

Change and clean your resiviour, block any light to it. Pics would help...bad smell is almost never good..

Ok i just cleaned the resiviour n refilled the smell is now gone n coverd up all parts that had direct light hope this solved my problem thanks

You did it with steaming hot water, and some bleach, low sokution, then sinsed it a few times with steaming hot water afterwards? Thats how I cleaned my dwc bucket my first time through, I had perfect blonde golden locks. I did it once a week, regardless of waiting for shit to happen. I was proactive.
