im new to growing and stressing. i have plants in the flowering stage and they are getting quite tall even though i topped em. and i know they are going to get even bigger. so i "stressed" them by bending the tall branches and tieing them down with strings.. im just wondering does this actually produce more bud and can i untie them after awhile and not have to worry about them going back to how tall they were before?? please assist. :leaf:

Well is actually supposed to be "low-stress training" or LST but it allows more light to get to the side branches, witch produces more bud sites therefore you get more bud.

But i would leave them tied up all the way through!

Hope all goes well

What type of lighting are you using and what watering schedule are you following? Very nice nonetheless!
im using 6 23watt cfls above the big one.. and 4 23watt cfls above the small hedie one. i have mylar on the top of all of them keeping the light in with the front open for ventalation. im still having trouble understanding the watering of my plants; they seem to drink a lot. sometimes twice a day it seems. ive been giving them just plain water for two days then nutrient water on the third day.. i hope this is a good way to go about it i dont want to burn them..but i want them to have big buds.:eyesmoke:

Your plant will tell you when they are thirsty or over-hydrated and you can get a $10 meter if you cant talk to your plants yet, LOL. Seriously yours are looking a little over-hydrated because your leaves are drooping and cupping. Main thing to remember they really dont like tons of water because they breathe through their roots and if they are saturated the roots cant get Oxygen and this leads to root rot. Get a meter that is the easiest way. Plus just food for thought I always cut back on watering during flowering anyways, it will make your girls sticky and highly resinous. Keep it up though they are looking great. :eyesmoke:
