stretch from clones

so my first personal grow went very well - i grew 1 plant ( citral) in a 5ft.x3ft.x1.5ft. cabinet using full spectrum 200 watt sunblaster cfl x1 and 4 weeks veg. 8 weeks flower .

now i am ready to do 1 of my clones taken after the first week of flower ( it's loaded with calyx)

my question is - should i expect this clone ( flowered at approx. same height as mom from seed) to stretch as much or end up at the same height as the mom did from seed ? should this clone grow 2.5 times like the mom did ?

The clone wont stretch very much at all - maybe 2x max its current size if your leaving it in 12/12 from clone. If you revert it to veg then you can grow it as big as you want

similar growing conditions should result in a plant much like the mother.

No, the clone won't stretch like a seed grown plant. However since the plant the clone is coming from is in flower, you may see some weird looking leaves as the clone reverts back to veg.

thanks willmunny i actually was able to get rid of the wierd looking leaves - took the clone during week 1 of flower then grew that out to a mother plant -then i took a clone from that plant and it vegged for 5 weeks approx. under low light cfls - i cut the main stem back during this time and it bushed out nicely ending up with a full -10 inch tall plant ready the day my first batch was done - by the looks of things i cut the clone at near perfect time -it is full of thick hairs

getting a shorter plant would be nice provided i get the same yield -so im experimenting a little with the citral but i have no idea how much a clone will stretch -common answer like yours and others is that they dont stretch that much and some say double -if your right though that would be awesome to be able to control the final heght like that - its currently in week 1 so i'll have to see what it does - i want to get at least double the 10 inches - even though i have seen some plants yield the same even when tamed down - im not sure that this strain will do that .
