Stretch time and growth BIG problem Rep given freely

How long does the stretch time last. How long would a plant stretch

If you have no room what do you do to remedy the situation? Lets say the lights are a foot away and plants are growing 3 inches a day. Raising lights would no longer be an option as there is nothing left vertically.

And its a crowd already

2-5 weeks in my experiences.. normally slows around week 3 or 4.. some sativa's will stretch a little longer...

Only option is to tie the main over .. as far as you can without breaking it.... just pull it a little over each day .. and before you know it .. it will be perfectly bent..

this is the least stressful option.. maybe post a picture?

You need to Super Crop them I think it is called. Pinch and bend those stems down. Normally stretch for 3-4 weeks in Flower then stop.

You can see one of the stems that I had to do it to recently. These got out of hand on me in Veg.

The "stretch" is period after the plant has been forced to flower by switching the lights to 12/12. It typically lasts between 10-14 days as the plant increases in size by 200-300%, the growth levels off after this period and the plant almost ceases growing in height, all the plants energy in now focused on bud production.

That's why most people tend to force flower 12" inch plants, you'll end up with a 2-3' plant. Indicas usually stretch less than Sativas, however there are always variations depending on strain.

Go ahead and bend them over. You might think you broke the stem but you didn't. It'll live. Just don't cut it.
I cannot bend them Over there is no Lateral Room either. We are talking a solid mass of Green.

Or do you mean something else?

OK THANKS FOR THE VID
Im going to try that

pinch or bend the tops over it will slow the vertical growth and give you room for them to keep growing they just wont grow up. you have room to bend them over.

Shit man, seems like you are pretty damn crowded. Might just have to roll with it.

Looking just a little bit more dense than that. I bent over 2 of the tomatoe plants. they didnt break just made a "L" Gave me some head room. The Tops of the plants will grow normally bent over like that?

Oh yeah also my tomatoes are 3-4 feet tall
