Will raise the lights abit more and water less,from what you can see what is the likelihood of this seedling going downhill and dying because of the tips? Really don't want to germinate another seed just to kill it again if this one dies think I'll call it a day and stop.

It can definitely make it. They don't need much at this stage, if the soil is saturated right now it could be a week before it needs water again.

Again I'm not an HPS user but I feel like 24-36 inches is pretty standard, I'd go at least that high for a little baby like that, or put it under a shop light instead and save the HPS for when it's more grown up.

I've taken the HPs lights down and stuck a led strip onto the wall this is the leaf that's burned and the led strip I'll see how it goes in the coming days thank you for everyones advice I'm sorry if I offended anyone literally I'm a complete beginner with no knowledge of growing asides from reading these forums.

Looks like it's doing fine. I might actually move that light up a bit still, somewhere in the 8-ish inch range, and stick a fan nearby set on low, so the seedling just barely sways back and forth in the breeze. And wait til the pot gets light before watering again, most failures at this point in the game are caused by overwatering.

Fwiw, this is the light I use for seedlings and clones. I keep it about 8 inches away, but the nice thing is the plants can literally grow until they're touching the bulbs and not get burned: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Utilitech-4-ft-Light-LED-Strip-Shop-Light/5000858987

Thanks for all your advice appreciate it this is probably a silly question but should I cut the burnt tip off or just leave as is?

I will order some of the lights that weedstoner linked and only use the HPS when there out of the early stages I don't have high hopes for this one second one ive killed first with nutes now light worse grower out here lol.

Will look into buying a fluorescent and start over if need be third times the charm eh luckily I'm using random bag seeds I've got a purple auto so just learning from these mistakes till I know I won't kill that one. Fluorescent is CFL bulb right ?

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. Let it stretch, prop it up if need be, it will eventually settle in. Most of my seedlings stretch and I've never worried about it. If they flop over, I just use a piece of garden wire to lift them up. Bye the time it's ready for transplant again, it will be on its own without any help.

It's not the stretch I'm worried about anymore it's the burnt tip and the sagging downwards and shrivelled cotyledons.

They stretch from wrong spectrum of light aswell. What color is your light, should be at 5k or above, or full spectrum for a seed. Not 2700 k hps
