You were on the right track by moving your light farther away. It should recover, if you don't have a par meter, I'd get one, or see if a local shop will rent you one, 2 shops close to me rent them out for like $10.00 with a refundable deposit otherwise your guessing at how much light your actually pushing to them.
Now since you've "changed" your light, I wouldn't be surprised if you see some stalling, or even further stretching.
I grew under a 1,000 watt HPS for a LONG time, seedling to flower without issues. There is way more technology available to use these days then there was back then, we had 2 lights to choose from, either an MH or HPS, no PAR meters, sensors, controllers etc.
Hang in there, you'll get the light distance figured out, and once you do, you'll never look back.

You can be cheap and just use the tent buddy app. Figure out what the plant likes, note the reading your app gives you. Same app, same device, should be able to keep shooting for those numbers.

Yeah it's not looking so hot... Is the pot dry/light? Or still wet/heavy? Unless it's basically light as a feather, I would leave it be. Fill a pot with soil directly from the bag to get a gauge for the "dry" weight.
One thing I will say is, I noticed you started in one of those compressed peat pellet things. I tried those for clones this last round, and could not get the moisture level right with them. They dried out way quicker than I expected once roots started forming, but then as soon as I buried the rooted clones in soil they seemed like they were being overwatered and nearly died. It took like 3-4 weeks to resume normal growth. So annoying, never had that happen when cloning directly in soil or in plain water. Some people use them with no problems, go figure... If this one doesn't recover, maybe try planting seeds directly into a small cup/pot of soil, and see how it goes.
Also, just a thought, but as a beginner you may want to try planting more than one seed at a time. You'll have better odds of success, even if you only keep one. You can try a couple different methods at once, and see what works for you in your situation. Once you get past the first 3-4 sets of true leaves it usually gets a bit easier...that is until week 4 or 5 of flower

Good luck!Hey thanks for the reply the pot was light and dry I haven't watered it in 4 days I just put abit more soil on top to support the stem then I misted the soil it seems like it is growing two new leaves past the burned leaf still looking weird but I suspect that wont heal or get better but new growth is happening. I am pretty sure I burned it with the light height to close but now the cotleydons are dying I don't know when to start adding nutrients I don't want to add nute burn on top of light burn.

You should water/feed that plant to runoff, then wait to feed/water again until the pot gets light. Right now with some wet/dry spots, it's not good-you need to thoroughly moisten your media for the roots to grow.

If you're sure it's dry, then yeah water until it's evenly moist. Since it's such a small pot it should be easy to tell how wet/dry it is just by the weight of the pot. You can add some nutrients if you want, but go very easy, like 1/4 of the recommended dose to start. If it were me I would not be adding nutes to that soil just yet.
If you need a reference for the weight, just fill two pots - one with dry soil, that's your reference for when it's dry, and one with soil that you've saturated to the point where when you squeeze a clump in your fist, just a drop or two of water comes out. That's your reference for when it's wet. As a former/reformed overwaterer, learning to water by weight has helped me a lot.

your light is to far - get a close light thats wont burn them , id say look into one of these LED light germ boxes
