Stretching late in bud

I have 2 white rhino in DWC about 5 weeks into bud, thing is the buds were fattening but now all the colas have started to sprout new growth at the top real scrawny with only one or tow calexs but with huge fat leaves

Im using a new 600w HPS with super lumens only 5 or 6 ins away from tops

what should i do

plants keep stretching though several weeks after vegetative growth stage. it doesnt just stop automatically. it takes time. look at my grow thread. on the last page (i think) i have some shots of a smaller foot tall plant. looking back to when i put her on 12/12 she was tiny and budding, now she more than double the size in a matter of a few weeks.

Oh....Oh wow. Dude, sorry to tell you this, but that plant looks like its been trying to veg AND flower at the same time. You probably have a light leak or something. Those round single bladed leaves are a dead give away.


Got pics of the rest of the plant? it would help alot.

That is what we were going to say also. It definitely looks like it is reverting back to veg stage. In that second pic are those dead leaves on your grow room floor?

Don't get us wrong we weren't trying to criticize you. It is better to keep you grow area\s clean to avoid any kind of problems. We had carpet and were letting dead leaves fall and sit....not a good thing.

Light leaks i cant imagine, as the cycle is lights on in the day and off at night and where i am its dark 12 hours a day,

A couple years ago I had this happen to a shared grow at a friends house.
I let it go and the smoke sucked, had I known I would have cut it right then.

I was told we had a problem with the timer, personally I think it was a problem with my drunk friend who lived there but somehow the crop got way too much light, like 24/7 for a couple days. Anyway that's what happened. Went into veg, started growing out of the top and looked just like your pics. Tried going back to 12/12 and took real long, like a month or so before it went back, by then the trichomes degraded is my best guess but the smoke sucked.

Thanks for the info Its funny because theres a second plant in the tent, same size and strain and its not stretching i just guess the lights not hitting it,

I think ill chop at the weekend and plant a few autos on a 20/4 cycle but let the dark cycle take place around midnight, the tent was defiantly lightproof a few weeks ago,
shame thats a real waste of time and money,
