I gotta say.. after years of tying them down, I started just bending and snapping them over and only tie the main shoot if it's being stubborn in the beginning of flower..

I used to be so careful and deliberate with LST and lst in place by design..

Now with a few exceptions, I just bend, snap, by the next day it's looking back up and by the end of the week she's healed and stronger (literally) than ever.

Give her a try sometimes.. sometimes you have to tie, but it sure is nice just looking down and going 'hmm, ya 'bend' and then that is that.. for ever.

have been doint bending or supercropping. few branches i completely boke and had to tape to get it to fix its self and i remember reading somewehre where ever you bend it everything below that will think it is the new "tops" and grow higher which i guess in turn is the same thing and tieing down or lst but its just some thing i want to try. possibly even top with it. next few grows i want to try to mainline or just bend then whole stalk over like 3 weeks in with the autos i have going on now. ill get pics up of the before and after of the lst/tying

im starting to experiment with autos and lst/topping and supercropping/bending might even try mainlinging. but thats another day.

i seem to only have to older models of metal hangers that are thick and hard to bend. i would much rather go with somehting i would be able to twist on or off or even cut easy.

Ok, metal is what I meant. I have a good set of cutters, it sounded odd when you said they were hard to bend and cut.

If you go to the home depot, where they sell fencing, you'll find some aluminum wire that's used for attaching the fence to the fence posts. Easy to bend by hand.

Go to bunnings and buy garden string it's green ironically and it works wonders. I wouldn't use anything to thin that can potentially break the stem

i seen something that kinda looks like a tomato stem and said it was for that but it looked to thick i wanted that so i would be able to loop it arounf the stem to let it grow into it and then tie her down and make it tighter if need be.

I use Yarn and Duct Tap.. I make a loop knot with the yarn, then thread the yarn threw the knot fo make a slip knot, thay way it has some movement. I cut the yarn to length, then pull it down to where i want the branch and use a pice of Duck tape to attach the yarn to the pot.. Easy and done. and easy to move or change. Just leave a few inches of yarn to hang out the bottem of the tape.
