Strong yellowing of leaves in flowering...

I am getting a real strong yellowing of the leaves particulary in 1 set of 6 plants vs the other 6. Normally, I thought the yellowing was wilting and showing signs of the plant maturing and dying and generally more common on the bottom of the plant where there's less light...

I could be totally off on my my thinking in the above statement so I came here to have you smarties enlighten me...

Also, I've stopped feeding them Calcium nutes because I didnt think that was necessary in Flowering.... maybe someone can clue me in on that as well.

Some of the leaves are sensitive to the touch and just falling off...

These are 31 days into flowering, Snow White strain...

From the pic all the plants look rather pale, but htat could just be the pic though. what nutes are you using and what's your ph? I'm not one for identifying deficiencies but with yellowing I'd probably think nitrogen. Did you feed grow nutes the first couple weeks of flower or switch right to bloom nutes?

I fed grow nutes for the 1st 3 weeks of flowering. Today, was going to be the 1st day of "non grow" nutes... but I held off feeding until I read here and there was a still a bit moisture in the soil, so I will tomorrow morning.

By pale that concerns me that you would even suggest that, and yes, it could be the picture, but what causes "paleing" of the plants?

I've been watering twice and feeding once from 5gal about every 3 days... So Day 1 feed, day 4 water, day 7 water, day 10 feed and so forth...

Everything looks yellow in the picture so it's hard to say. You really shouldn't be seeing yellowing of upper canopy fan leaves only 31 days in just due to flower. They may be underfed or perhaps your lights are too close?

ive had the same problem last 4grows, 4th week ppm rises and ph falls down to 4.5 on run off im in coco 60/40 perlite run to waste and got a mate same drama been coming on here looking to see if any one else has got the same drama and bingo your in the same boat sorry to say champ, i ran beneficial bactiria you name it root conditione, champ done alot of research on the net found pithium and thats systemic means its every were mothers ,clones,i even read its even airbourne, so vege period is great but soon as it hits flowering the stress comes on they start going pale then ph lockout in the medium the leaves from the bottom yellow and fall off making there way up,ive seen alot of people say nitrigon isue run the veg nutes to 2nd week then 50/50 veg/bloom nutes for third week then normal bloom the rest 4 weeks, but you said you done that check you run off man see whats coming out dont let ppm rise to much in the medium or she will lock up and wilt nurse her threw ,what medium are you using sorry about the long post but its a head fuck to see them go thew that

I would say your under feeding them. Are you using tap water or filtered? if your using filtered then you need to keep using calmag or something similar. or you will start to see problem's. Get yourself a tds meter and see how strong your feed's are. you should be around 1000 or so this far along. Unless your using supersoil. I alway's do water, feed, water.

I feed with every watering in coco. If you are using inorganic nutes, you need to flush every four weeks. I like to flush with 1 tsp molasses and one tsp epsom salt per gallon. I'm using GO nutes so I only flush once about two weeks into flower.

It's damn near impossible to get root rot in coco. I'm sure you could do it if you left your pots sitting in a couple of inches of water. Otherwise, I don't think you could.

Hey guys,
The first place I would look would be runoff. Check Ph and EC to get a general idea of where media is at. IME yellowing in flower is a lack of phosphorus rather than nitrogen. Excess salts are often pick up in replace of P when P is low. Your statement about veg nutes would back this up....both the doubt in N def and the possible P def from veg nutes. The yellow leaves will not regain color but you can stop it by adding a little P. You may also benefit from a mild flush to remove any salts.

Coco is an inert media, when veg'ed in coco from the beginning a P def often materializes. Also, those in coco/perlite blends are increasing the potential of this problem due to perlite's low CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity) or relative inability to hold/give nutes to the roots. Coco has many properties, one is that it will not hold "perched water". Meaning it will hold only what it can absorb and will reject anymore. Only a drain pan can keep coco from dumping perched water.....translation- you're much better off in 100% coco. Higher CEC and 3x as aerobic as compost with 9x its weight in water while zero perched water.....NIIIICE. Get it? ;)

Hope this helps. Peace

dood i agree with ya on the rot root i ran straight coco for years in 1gallon pots then whent to 14l pots and shit started happening thats why trying perlite mix , clay balls 1 inch on the bottom ive pulled them out no slimy roots ,one that baffels me ran 1gallon pot straight coco side by side with 4 an half gallon the one gallon had no problem the 4 locked up, ive talked to a lot of people even cana rep spent hundreds on different nutes, climate no prob its in the media one guy 2 decades behind him said bacterial draw down in the coco meaning plants to long in the pot thats why 1g pot went fine ive even run in 7g pots same shit

I kind of thought I was mildly flushing by doing Watering, Watering, Feeding, Watering, Watering, Feeding - that's my current cycle...

bestingr; give them a feed say 1.6 ec then check run off if its coming out higher then flush veg or bloom let the run off be your guide ec & ph , i got gut felling nitrogen is geting flushed out and not replenished i bet your ec is high and ph low on run off same as mine but what the fuck is doing that ill reward the guy who can solve it im a man of my word
some won who had this problem before would be the one to solve it
