Struggling with clones

Nothing wrong with those clones at the top of page,At that age don't worry about how they look if there green and has long has they stay green just do not rush em ,Wait till they get a nice root mass and then put in your medium.I have never been a fan of that type of cloning tbh .I prefer rock wool propagator and misting for a week ,then after that make them work for water ,they need a bit of warmth ,but again i'm not a fan of heat mats .They should get enough warmth from a light ,i use a small plug in heater works great 10/10 with every one i've done .Just be patient they will be fine
Heat mats help alot with humidity in the dome and helps the roots a bit. But I agree fresh clones rarely look perfectly healthy. They come back real fast after they root up a bit and get a feeding.

I went with the clone king also because my funds were low. Plan was to use that until I could afford a ez clone. I like the clone king so much and have nothing but positive things to say about it that I'll be sticking with it until the end. Plus you can buy any replacement part for it on amazon. Sometimes I use no cloning gel. Just cut and place into the cloner with 5.5 p.h.'d tap water and always get roots
You can make your own ez clone bucket

Small heater behind and there fine But only through winter ,2 mist a day and there fine for 1 st week after that perhaps 3/4 mist .No fancy light un needed just normal house lamp will do the same job warm blue spec ,they get the warmth from that, and moisture from cubes ,keep the humidity good in dome

Little portable plug in, either oil or water one both work great

I use rock wool cubes, my clones wouldn't take this time. It had been two weeks and no roots, and started yellowing. Had me scratching my head. Went and bought a seedling heating mat. Using the same yellowing crapy looking clones in 5 day had roots. I also have an ink bird thermostat to plug the heat mat into to keep it at 77 degrees. I had no idea that cold clones dont root. Something so simple is easy to overlook.

I got one of those gro-dan trays that lift the rockwool plugs up off the bottom of the tray so they get better airflow. The grid of the tray also traps humidity around each cube (they're only open on the bottom) which promotes more roots sticking out of the cubes. I always thought it was a waste of money, but that little hunk of plastic is worth every penny. It cut my rooting time from 12-14 days to 5-7 days.

Without trimming the leaves are you wasting photosynythesis? Where it should be focused on growing roots not focusing on leaf growth.

For me I have had success both ways. I do not think trimming the tips hurts the leafs whatsoever, in fact I am under the impression that it actually helps, based on observations. I believe the weight has an impact, for example fan leaves when they are wet weigh it down, so trimming the tips off actually helps. It may have something to do with forcing nutrients from the leaves when you trim it, but for me It's the weight of the leaf.

With you all the way there. I use a heat mat under my tray and dome. That with the gel and I'm also currently using some Humbolt nutes that came with the set up. 25 cuttings, 25 looked healthy, only got to transplanting little over half because I found out the ,moms weren't moms, they were hermies. I'm finishing the moms out though. First time ever trying to clone. Should have taken pics of roots when I ripped them out, all of them were doing very well.
Have good seeds going now, will clone again same way as soon as i can
and yes i use a dome it just doesnt take good pics lol

you might have missed the fact that you want at least 2 internodes under the medium line, those internodes will be the centers of production of the hormones needed to have roots production of adventitious (probably spelled diffrently..) roots, a particular trait of some plants as cannabis and tomatoes.
also you would like the stem in contact whith those jiffys, the holes look quite big! hope I gave you some useful insight!
best of luck

Really good advice dude iv noticed after chopping the tips off the leaves that the plant was somewhat weightless and able to hold itself up here a successful clone I got going about two weeks ago. Love this site and all the feedback from over growers
