Stuck need help

be honest with us on why your so worried about smell because if your just paranoid dont be. one plant really wont smell all that much..just the room its in will smell a bit...your going to have one hell of a time cooling that small of a space even if you do ventilate it well imo, you will find yourself realizing its too hot in there and wanting to leave the door to your box open with a fan blowing in...a 400w hps will heat an entire bedroom mid winter up into the 80s unless your venting out of the house or into the attic or something just venting into the room its in is going to heat up the whole room and then therefore it will start over heating inside your box....anyone else have any input on this??

Dude, you want me to put together a shopping list of links for you to just click and buy? Naw, you should read more about growing indoors in enclosed tents. Maybe someone else will spoon feed you the info you need, but I'm here to help, not do it for you.

I own a bar where I live. I love to smoke. I occasionally bring home a friend for the night, I'd just like for them to not ever smell something and go snooping through my shit, if it could have been avoided just by covering the smell.

He's right, you're gonna have to keep the ambient temp in the room down somehow, but it's not THAT bad. In winter I just have a fan blowing in fresh air from outside in to the room my enclosure is in. Now that summer is around the corner, I'm gonna have to install my 5000btu window AC to keep the ambient room temp down. But I'm also running 1200w in a 6x5x7 room.

gotcha....well if its in the same room you sleep in then ya your going to have to use a carbon filter and hope it works perfectly ive never used one myself so idk if someone can still tell if they are in the same room or not...if you sleep in a different room your good man, have the daytime be during the day so the light is out at night..for some reason they smell less at night,(their night i mean) also i would use the flouros for vegging so you wont have a heat issue until flowering time..

It's really pretty easy. What are your goals? Do you smoke a lot? Are you trying to not have to buy weed, or are you just looking for a fun hobby? You don't NEED a 400w for a 2x2 area, you could probably get away with a 150w hps for one plant in a cab that size, and use the fluorescents for vegging and side lighting...Also, you said tyou have 120w fluorescents? Chances are, that is only the incandescent equivalant, and they're closer to 35w actually. If they were 120w actual, they would have a large "mogul" base, bigger than a normal lightbulb...But if it screws into a regular socket, it's not really 120w.

I'm smoking close to an ounce a day.


But, I'm not looking to supply that. That's with a cheaper quality weed. I'm spending a massive amount of money on this so i'd like to start making it easier on my pocket. later on I would like to expand this but for now a small grow to learn will be nice.

^ i agree an air conditioner will do it..my example of it getting that hot is assuming a closed room with no air coming in accept for maybe a little heat escaping through the closed vent because its winter the rest of the house needs heat i wasnt thinking about the fact that it being summer almost the ac will likely be on anyway....ive also used a normal window unit to keep temps in place during summer in a completely closed room running 800w and this house had no central air and that worked ok it was always warm in there but juuuuust cool enough for the girls..so an air conditioning unit for a 400w will be totally fine or possibly just running the ac at a lower than normal temp if you have central air, still think that small of a box will get warm though just be ready for a possible heat issue and your solution to that would be to open the box up during the day times and closing it at night when u may have ppl over. when ya close it febreze the room by the time you come home noone will notice.

I was editing my post. Why does nobody believe me when I say that. I know people that smoke way more than that. I live in a college town, it's not uncommon here at all to go buy a zip of mid and smoke it in a day.

i believe you, i was smoking a oz a day for a long time but i had help. shit i remember times where we would roll 4 1/4 oz blunts and send them bitches around the room with about 13 ppl in there and burn down like a mofo. wow what a waste but we were kids and kids do dumb shit

I mean, I don't feel like i'm wasting any of this I smoke. I get it break it all down and roll it into normal sized joints. about a gram and a half in each. This shit is expensive, but the best for a curtained off grow. FLAT white paint is the only thing that rivals it. If possible always use flat white. Curtains are a product designed for open space grows where the light doesn't really reach the walls in a strong enough lumen to bounce back, and you need to concentrate it in the area you are growing in. Also very little damages flat white paint, wash it off. Its easy to re-paint in the case of mite outbreak or such. Wall coverings tear easy crinkle and in most cases are a fire hazard, I've said this many times to closet and box growers." Don't enclose flamible objects with electricity and water." Open spaces for me. basement floor set-ups are easy to set up, so come out of the closet. These box and closet grow fires, are not "Anything" you wan't to explain to the fire marshal and detective when they arrive at your burnt abode! umm...whats wrong with ebay dude sometimes u find a steal.. i suggest using amazon personally as most companies sell on amazon and you can find the cheapest price for the exact same item and buy from multiple companies on one order and pay one combined shipping price...is amazon for amateurs too
