Pixie, i have tried to reply to your PM'd questions but your inbox is full. To answer you here (short n sweet cos i already typed it out once :D)

mylar=emergency blanket

I would suggest coke can reflectors. google or search forums for DIY tutorial.

As far as changing up in april - youd be suprised where you can grow with some proper odor control (carbon filter). Im sure you got a spare cupboard somewhere in the house :)

hey boogie, ive deleted messages, didnt realise it was full, but thanks for bringing that to my attention haha.
Yeah I was thinking coke can reflectors myself, well, was thinking a few things, but that seems the easiest (and cheapest) to do, so may go for that. The thing about changing in april, unfortunately, the way the house is laid out, dont have any spare cupboards, it literally is you come in from outside, you have the kitchen, then the sitting room, downstairs toilet (which wouldnt be any good for growing as there would be nothing to block sounds out from people, like as in fan, also, even the slightest smell, would be a no no downstairs lol) then upstairs, 2 bedrooms, one in which ive setup the grow cabinet, and another the main bedroom, with wardrobes in, but not enough room, and the sounds of the fans would get rather annoying lol, so in a nutshell, the only place i can grow is inside the spare room, and only until baby goes into that room :)

  • ive decided to go with the beer can reflectors, as ive got some mylar lying about, going with the emergency blanket lining the wardrobe, having a computer fan intake, having a desktop fan for air regulation, and finally, a computer extraction fan. hopefully will work a treat! may have to go with the square pots, rather than round, so i can fit 2 plants in, instead of 1, as one pot is filling the entire grow area, if im only vegging for 3 weeks, then going into flower, wonder if i need such a size pot as ive got, surely the plant wouldnt use all that space inside of the time scale?

You want roughly as much pot space as space above ground. about a 40/60 split. Plants are more underground than above!

ive got one of those big round ones, but will only hold one obviously, so thinking about getting 2 square ones, to maximise space, to grow 2, not too sure though, may stick with the one, to see how the grow goes

started my grow, put both seedlings under cfls, 2 30w, and 2 20w, all 2700k, for now, until better lights come, lights are about 2 inches away, in a pc grow box. think il keep them in here for about a week, week and a half, then go into vegging phase

need to buy the socket splitters off amazon, or ebay, cant find any store round where i live that sells them. the 150w cfls are a bit pricey when you dont have much money. or did you mean get lower watt cfls, that equiv-elate 150w of normal light? ive ordered 2 30w daylight bulbs, waiting for them to come, will be replacing my 20w 2700s, with the 30w 6500s when they arrive

we dont have walmart in england, we have asda, which is a member of walmart, but the asda where i live doesnt stock them lol. we dont have home depot either, we have diy shops, like b&q, but cant find the splitters on their website. the light fixtures im using are the clamp ones. the 30w 6500ks are 150w equivalent, and have 2 30w 2700k, 3 21w 2700k, 4 20w 2700k, 2 20w 4200k, so hopefully i should be ok. planning on putting the 6500s on top, like towards the sides on top, the 4200s near it, and the rest all around, filling every area i can find, should get good light penetration then lol. in asda, they have the tube lighting thats quite powerful, but i wouldnt know how to set those up really, also they sell other lights, but cfls, are only in the 2700k range, cant find any others apart from that
