Stunted Seedling Growth?

Slowly growing seedlings I have usually attributed to cold temperatures. I think a warming pad with 74-78F in the air is best for sprouts.....

i agree on the heating pad thing. your plant will endure snow!!! with a heating pad under it

iv also read heating pads cann help speed up root growth by alot

no micro elements... may work in the short run but in the long run you'll need to supplement them somehow... copper, boron, iron, moly, etc.

was looking for a fertilizer that has these at a hydro store, but I am unable to find one that has all of the micros... also the air is about 23C without the light shining on them, so I'm not really worried about the temp.

Here we are 3 days later. I'm a little concerned about plant two's leaves, One seems to be dead/ not growing/ the tip is dead and the other one has spots on it. Thoughts? Combination of Mn and Mg deficiency maybe?

nope, not so good. perhaps you are better off starting over in normal potting soil that's fertilized a bit. perhaps then you can get by without having micro nutrients (trace elements) in your fertilizer. but i'm not sure about this. nor am I 100% sure that what you bought doesn't have them. maybe it does but just doesn't say it on the label. it's funny cuz they are a very known company, so maybe others here know what this is about.

Is there any soil in them pots, i see alot of perlite and vermiculite? I think the soil to perlite/vermiculite ratio was somthing nearer 10 percent prerlite/vermiculite. Over here that stuff is exspensive so you can't grow straight in it. The water retention is good for soil but too much and the water can just drain through the soil. Also it weakens the nutes in the soil as it has very little, maybe as asaph suggests just go with a normal soil and potting mix, i agree the seedling looks deficient, badly.

dude dont worry about it. they look fine, if anything maybe over fed? water is fine for the first week or so, then add quarter strengh nutes after that and bump it up to full by week 3. once they get some new leaves out they might pull through,

I think maybe I'll just start over with the plant that looks messed up I'll see how it plays out in soil, but we are in agreement that the other plant is fine right?
