Stunted seedlings?? Help please

Howdy folks, these two plants are about three weeks from sprouting. For the first two weeks they were under two 26w cfl's. They are currently under a 400W hps lamp with a MH conversion bulb. My cab was running at 67 degrees F with the cfl's and is now at 85 degrees with the 400w. Fertilized for the first time yesterday, any input would be greatly appreciated. Also, the strain is Acapulco Gold feminized from Barneys Farm seeds.

Bushiest little seedling iv'e seen tbh they should be alot bigger but that could be because of the low wattage cfl's used in the beginning, im sure you'l notice a big difference within a week using the 400 MH;

Also your leaves look a bit droopy which is a problem im facing with my month old plants, can't figure it out; changed the PH, tried Superthrive; if i don't see any improvement im gonna try some microbial.

have you been checking your ph? how often and how much are you watering?

I have been watering about once every two days. I do not yet have the supply's to test the ph, what is the most economical means of doing so? - Also, I will be transferring them to larger containers tomorrow. Thanks guys!
The first true leaves on the larger plant have started yellowing, there is similar discoloration on the sickly looking plant. / :

That yellowing means that plant needs food
that explains the stunted growth as well...

what soil are you using? nute info? are your stalks purple? how far is your light from the top of your plant? Also if u are strapped for cash u can pick up a 7 dollar 3in1 ph, moisture, and light meter from home depot or any garden supply shop in your area. i have one and it is plenty accurate for the most part..

The 3 way soil meters suck for PH... I use mine strictly for the light and moisture meter on my Mom in soil... Those things almost always read 6.8 PH....

lol yeah i know they're not the best, but mine actually works pretty well even when i adjust with ph up and down in a cup of water.. they dont work very well if your soil is dry, but after a good soakin mine seems to read pretty well.. so far..lol

Thank you for the reply's! I just fed them miracle grow general plant food at less than half the recommendation for indoor plants.
-They are in FoxFarm light warrior (transplanting into ocean forest tom)
-I just lowered the light from about 2.5 ft to 1.75 ft from the foliage
-One stalk turned slightly purple a day or two ago...

so u fed them fertz yesterday, & then again today? If u did, big mistake. I have to disagree, I think the yellowing is potentially a sign of overwatering coupled by some nute burn. Damage from fertz can take up to a week to show outwardly. they look like they already need a little mag however, so I would add some espsom salts to ur next watering. Watering every 2 days at that small, I can tell you is TOO much. That soil, what little of it there is in that cup, looks overwaterred, almost to the point of mold potential (just the way it appears in pic#1). INDEED they r amazing little "gals" (fingers crossed), so beautifully tight & bushy, but I would replant them asap in a suitable container with more soil. They may not be big outwardly, but at 3 weeks, ur not giving them much root room! That's my opinion...

I agree repotting would not do them anything but good, I think it might be a good idea to invest in a PH meter, just so you know what you feeding your plant, read up recently that incorrect PH'd water/feed can lockout certain nutrients and stop your plant from taking up vital sources for good growth: heres a nice pic i just found in a different forum thread to illustrate

Thank you so much for all the advice and knowledge. Within 12 hours of repoting, the plants CAME ALIVE! they perked up, right towards the light and showed increased growth...in 12 hours! Truly an incredible organism. - I repotted into three gallon nursery pots with 40% FF light warrior 60% organic potting soil(contained some perlite). Watered untill it dripped through the bottom drains(the final addition of water included 1/4 strength Grow Big). Also, my MH light is about 3 ft from the plant tops. Gracias! more pics up shortly and I will be making a grow journal for these two and an auto I started a few weeks ago.

Excellent! VERY excited to hear they r now thriving & can't wait to see pics. You can move the MH a lot closer, I would have it about 16 inches over the top of them at this age if ur running a 1000w, about 14 inches for 600W, 12 inches for 400W, as they grow stronger, I would move the light closer still, up to 8 inches from the tops at all times, depending on if that gives enough light to all ur plants.
