Stuntet growth under 12/12

Hi, i have a little problem and after reading a lot of faq´s and stickies here i still can´t figure out whats going on.

Thing is, after cloning i had my plants for about 2 weeks in rooting and as i was told then transferred them to 12/12 lighting space.

Problem is, the plants were at approx 7 inches when i put them in 12/12 and after 1 month of that they are only 9-10 inches.

When they had been in flowering for approx 2 weeks i transferred them to 3 gallon pots and after that i´m seeing almost no growth at ALL ?????

Are they busy filling the pot with roots or something and will take a big leap once that is done ???

I´m at a loss here, they are quite healthy looking, green and the buds are growing in size, as per this pic.

dude ur plants are stunted because you did not let them veg let them veg for at least 45 days and then go to flower,that is all ur going to get,some ppl give very bad advice and you got some bad advice,just look at ur grow now and u can see that the plants need to veg longer and i like for my plants to preflower first or i run 50-60 days in veg wich ever comes first!!good luck next time bro!!

flowering plants aren't very good at growing roots, so when you transplanted it two weeks into flower you didn't help anything at all other than shocking the plant.

Ok, i get the picture, would it help at all if i put them in 24 hour light at this point ?

Or should i just let them run their course and veg longer next time ?

If you put your plant back into 24 hours of light, it will (eventually) reveg. That might take a month. Then it will begin to grow vegetatively again and you could get roots and branches BEFORE you try to flower it again.. If you have the time and patience, that might be your best course of action. You might get bud in May. You could also grow a new plant in the time that would take.

But you guys make it sound like it's wrong or something...

I do SOG and ALL I do are small plants like that... LOTS of them... and I get 2lbs a month...

So it's not wrong... and my ZERO VEG clones fill the pots with roots just fine... and they go to flower AS SOON AS I SEE ROOTS....

So yeah... maybe the wrong TECHNIQUE if you wanted a HUGE plant, but if you had about 30 of those you would be really happy..!!!

I already have the next batch of clones in rooting process so i guess i´ll just let those play out (since i have 2 areas for blooming) and let the next bach of clones veg for longer.

I´m using GHE tripack fertillizer, Flora Series. (Flora Micro, Flora Gro and Flora Bloom) mixed according to their chart for ages 1 week and up.

Many smaller plats.....

Why veg when you can do lots of zero veg clones..??? It's just so much cheaper than vegging big plants...

Not exactly a true SOG but you would end up with similar results...

I am not fond of multiple plants per pot.. but go with what you know...

No... I do not.. they go from rooting in 2" RW cubes to 5.5" pots till harvest .. ZERO VEG...

LOL lets see if we can fix this......excellent thing to do if you have 20-30 of these lil babes!! not so good if you was only plannin on a 1-2 palnt grow!! now you can trim the buds on the main and a few on the bottom and shove it back into veg or call it a lost!!

Ok, i see the hormones have gotten the better of this plead for help of mine.

I was planning on 9x big plants. But if i do 27 small ones instead and that gives good crop, maybe i´ll try that next time.

Seems like i took some advice i was given and either mis-understood it or was given bad advice.

Now i´m thinking, i have 3 gallon pots, why not put 3 clones into each and get 27 plants from my 9 pots instead of 9 bigger plants that take longer to grow.

We´ll, i might try that after this, i now have 18 clones in rooting stage that are going into growth room 2 after 1 week or so, im gonna keep them there at 24 hour light for at least 3 weeks more and then flower.

The next bactch of clones i might just take 2x more and do a little sea of green.

What im curius about is, what is the main difference between SOG and LST´ing the plants ?

A true SOG is comprised of many smaller plants, usually zero veg clones, that have only a single cola per plant...

LST means Low Stress Training, and although it encompasses a variety of "methods to achieve it" most people refer to it as simply tying your plant so it grows sideways instead of up...

Together with "topping" or "fimming" LST can induce some pretty big yields given enough veg time...
