Stupid Ideas

Lately I've been reading thread after thread on the most ridiculously stupid ideas on grow room designs.
I think the reason why is because people either have no money or are just to ignorant to understand the basic fundamentals on growing plants.
It pisses me off because I have spent countless time making my grow rooms the best environment possible.
I have spent an obscene amount of time researching on how to make my plants the best.
When I read these threads I think to myself, "Why bother" trying to grow if you don't know the 3 basic things that plants need.
Light, air, and water.
** Light meaning: At least a 400 watt HPS....Not a 40 watt fluorescent bulb
** Air meaning: A constant flow of fresh entering and leaving your room with at least a 1000 ppm's of CO2....Not a 12 inch oscillating fan in the room.
** Water meaning: The best nutrient you can afford....Not tap water and Miracle grow.
Maybe I'm making a big deal about this, or maybe not.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

I think you're getting a little excited over nothing ...

I used flouros for my grow .. and yeah maybe it didn't work as well but it was a fun learning experience. Not everyone grows to be the best the first time around ..

I guess what you're looking for is more people to invest more money into their operation... Some people can afford it, some people can't. Also remember that a lot of people out there are just growing their first plants, and probably would not want to invest heavily into something they may or may not be planning to do in the future.

I've seen plenty of successful grows on Miracle Grow, AND tap water... Do I use Miracle grow? no... but it doesn't change the fact that it can produce quantities of quality. Tap water? I say as long as you're metering the water- go for it!

Cannabis will grow in a variety of conditions... Plain and simple.

Maybe you want to overthink and overspend, but the rest of us can pull it off without a thousand dollar set up.

You are aware that these plants can grow outside all alone with no help at all from humans?

Oh yeah, and I'm not trying to be a drug lord, just trying to grow some personal stash.

ya u can use cfl's for your mom and clones but when you can get an hid light super cheap theres no logical reason not to use it.

like this one will grow you a pound easy every 2 months. and 1 lb per grow cheap light

1 lb cost $4,800 this light costs $100 light cost is 2% of its 2 month return of $4,800

this means over the 60 days it takes to grow, the light would have paid for itself within the first 2 days of its operation, netting an average of $80 a day for everyday after that

couple this with the risk your are taking anayway, why not get jewels if you are already going to be stealing the silver?

isn't marijuana a weed, and weed from wikipedia is
A weed in a general sense is a plant that is considered by the user of the term to be a nuisance, and normally applied to unwanted plants in human-made settings such as gardens, lawns or agricultural areas, but also in parks, woods and other natural areas. More specifically, the term is often used to describe native or nonnative plants that grow and reproduce aggressively.[1]
Weeds may be unwanted because they are unsightly, or they limit the growth of other plants by blocking light or using up nutrients from the soil. They also can harbor and spread plant pathogens that can infect and degrade the quality of crop or horticultural plants. Weeds may be a nuisance because they have thorns or prickles, cause skin irritation when contacted, or parts of the plants might come off and attach to fur or clothes.

so in that sense, they can grow in very harsh conditions!
