Im pretty sure that you can't, but if you start a seedling in soil can it then be switched to hydro?

sure you can, i would just be sure to clean off all the dirt debris with water and transplant in new medium.

I'm growing in hydroton...its my first one. I'm going to keep the soil plant in soil in a different room. I just started germing 2 bubbleicious and 2 NYPD's.

Technically yes, but your going to kill most/all the microscopic root hairs in the process. I would only do so if for some reason i had to switch from soil to hydro and had absolutely no choice, otherwise your just wasting time stressing the plant to hell.
