ok first off once again thanks to riu and long time members and the wealth of info on here .

This is not my first time growing or growing outdoors but it is my first time starting plants at the end of Feb and then transition to outside in May!

Had to do a fast taper down on my indoor lighting hours and it worked !

I was very very surprised by how intense the hardening off process is mind you we have a major heatwave right now and lately 4 to 5 days in a row or straight sun and 32 c degree heat .

I have had to cover the plants completely daily had a few light leaks and the sun burned the tops like a laser !

Anyway all the plants are doing great and my soil seems to be great !

Plants are a bit bigger than expected at this point but thats fine !

Taking the training wheels off today / tomorrow and finally putting and end to the daily covering.

Enjoy the pics

Chocolate haze
Mandarin cookies
Cream caramel

And my best plant bruce banner original

Wow I thought I was doing well transplanting outside in this heatwave but you are 1) making me feel lazy 2) OMG those are big transplants!

Looking good man. I am in southern Ontario as well and have had my plants out for almost two weeks and in the ground since Sunday. Did you get that thunderstorm on Monday. Man my plants got pummeled

Yeah its been brutally hot out ...the thunderstorm missed us completley not even any rain ! Got lucky .
My plants still seem to be dropping at certain points of the day not sure why they took so long to adjust but I am sure the temps don't help leaves seem to be doing the taco but overall I think they are OK. Next few days they are calling for overcast weather and low hours of sun so I think that will help alot

It took me like 8 days of covering to adjust but I was using umbrellas on sticks then I swit he'd to a roll of landscape fabric worked alot better just staked it up high ...i really underestimated the transition had I of left them uncovered for 1 day they would have been scorched and leaves don't rebound from sunburn from what I hear so

What I was doing is taking the covering off around 4 pm when they were in shade then in the morning I would let the direct sun hit them for an hour then two hours or basically until the leaves do the taco thing and start dropping ...

Oh ok so you're covering to harden off vs. Light deprivation? Big difference.

I always struggled to get the plants into and through the flower cycle properly due to our long days until late summer. Have you guys had successful outdoor grows in the past? When were they ready?

Sorry yeah I should have said shaded them ...I dont have any exp with covering for flowering and not a ton of exp period ! few years growing ..but ALOT of people grow outdoor around me in Southern Canada with no issues even commerical sized I think typical time around here to finish is mid october
