Successful Water Cure

I put approx 5 (semi-dried) grams of marijuana in a small glass bowl with Brita filtered water for a week, changing out the water once a day. After the first 24 hours the water was orangish and looked like tea. Every day after that the water was just cloudy with no color. I did not notice any trich loss and infact, it looked like more appeared and they seemed to be larger. They dried very fast. From being water logged on the bottom of a bowl of water to my lungs in less than 24 hours. I air dried with a fan. Sorry, but I only have finished product pictures.

As you can tell the water cured bud is darker.

Smoke Report: Kinda looked like shwag packed into my slider. I loaded it in my bong and cleared it in one hit, really smooth, almost unoticable. As with most cases of water curing the flavor was lost. It didn't taste bad however, just really plain. Definitely feeling good :)

Final Thoughts: I'm convinced most of the contaminants were leeched out in the first few days but why not go the full week and make even more clean? I know the thought of dumping your harvest into a bucket of water for a week sounds like the worst idea ever but don't be afraid to try this if you are worried about an improper flush or want a cleaner product.

the water cure doesn't get its justice ever.. i think it is a great way to detox/clean your buds if you had flushed improperly, we should take advantage of the fact that thc isn't water soluble

It had a plastic cover but it was no where near air tight. I wanted it to be able to "breathe" yet keep dust out.
You put 5 g's in. How much did you get out dry?
3. It wasn't freshly cut but it was still rather moist when I put them in. You def lose a little bit of weight but it's probably stuff you don't want to smoke anyways.

I just water cured mine for 6 days, the smoke was ridiculously smooth. The taste was still there, just pretty weak. I don't think i'll do it again though, it literally shrunk 4g to .64g :(

Also it looks really gross like shwag. And if anyone is wondering about drying, i took the buds and mixed them with paper bag shreds then put them under a thin glass bowl (upside down). Put my heater blowing on the outside of the bowl and they dried super dry in about an hour. The size difference from when they were put under the bowl and when they were dried was phenomenal. So between the look, lack of smell and taste, and reduced size its hard to brag about.

On a side note though, the high seems a lot different than the other stuff that is currently air curing off of the same plant. It's a lot more "uppy"
