Suckers?

Okay, so I know when you grow vegetables such as tomatoes, etc, you're supposed to pick off the "suckers" that grow up from where the branches intersect the main stem.

What about cannabis? Do you need to pick off the suckers, or are they okay to leave? Are you supposed to leave them? Will picking them off hurt the plant?

I hope someone knows

I wouldn't, you could actually be reducing your yield, because those little guys develop into little buds quite often too...

not to mention any additional stress on the plants other than what's needed is just likely to cause hormone problems and produce a hermie anyhow.

Fortunately my own plant only developed the hermie trait on one branch, removing it removed the problem.

Thanks for the replies, y'all. I kinda figured it was something vital to the growth of the plants. Had no idea they could turn into tops with LSTing, either. Awesome info.
