Hey good luck with the pistils being there! I hope to see good things from this grow. We clearly have a similar set up but you've chosen LSTing and I went to Topping.
Yeah I'll be following yours to see how we compare. When are you planning to switch over to flowering?

DAY 29.......DAY 1 OF 12/12

Alrighty, so the lights have been off for 36 hours. I just changed all the 6500k lights over to 2700k. I have 2x 42W and 4x 30W, just over 200W of 2700k CFLs. I gave both the plants a good watering since I'll be gone for a few days, with like 10-15% of the recommended dosage of 15-30-15 nutes. I notcied that there are roots all coming out the drainage holes, so it must be fully developed at this point and the plant can focus all energies on flowering.

I didn't think I'd see any pre-flowers but I took a close look anyways. I'm pretty sure its looking like 1 male and 1 female. Hopefully I'll know for sure when I get back after giving them a few days of 12/12 lighting. I'll be happy with one female, it would be pretty crowded with two in the rubbermaid. It would suck balls if they both turned out to male. Time will tell. If I do have one male and one female I might try to collect some pollen and pollenate one of the female's colas. I only have 4 seeds left so this would be a free suppply.

Just a couple of pics:

New lighting...I like the two new 42Wers, nice addition since last grow.

From top of rubbermaid:

This is the one I think is going to turn out male:

And now for my apple trees!!!! MacIntosh :bigjoint: One more popped out. I am going to try to bonsai each tree. It should look pretty cool and will get blossoms each year:

DAY 5 12/12

Just a quick update, no pics. So I definetly have 1 male and 1 female. I got rid of the male tonight. I was thinking about trying for seeds but I want to switch up genetics after I finish with my last 4 seeds.

So out of 5 seeds so far I've had 3/5 females.

My lady is doing good, I see a few more pre-flowers. It is progressing at about the same rate as my girls in the last grow. I think the extra room is going to be useful, she is already able to get more light. She has 8 tops right now that are all about equal size.

I seem to be having some odor issues this grow. Might have to do with the fact its warmer and more humid. I've hooked up my carbon filter, dehumidifier and also got this air sponge thing that absorbs odors from the air

Yes the summer heat drives the smell factor up. Haha when I came back from my week long trip the whole house stunk lol. The ac was also off the whole time and it apprently was like 110 outside for like 4 days in a row lol. Flipped the ac to 70 and lit some incensce and in about an hour smell was gone. Can't wait to see some pics of your lady lol.

I don't think it is heat because most of the leaves that show the problem are not at the top of the canopy close to the lights....

Just a quick update as I'm only at a computer for a little while. I've been away for the weekend and won't be home for another two days. I'm hoping my girl doesn't end up growing into the lights. I had them 8 inches above.....hopefully it won't grow into that in 5 days. Hopefully the leave discoloration doesn't get worse while I'm gone. It's not too bad now but if it got out of control I'd be in trouble.

Happy Canada Day!! ( No pics tonight)

DAY 12 OF 12/12

Just got home from my trip, man it was good to see the girl again, I was starting to get worried. She must have grown 4-5" over the past 5 days, the tops have really taken off (there is I think 8 of them). They might have stretched a bit due to me putting the lights 8 " above them for the 5 days I was gone....but it was either that or risk having the plants grow into the lights. They are now probably twice the height from the last pics. Man the pot was light when I picked it up, I watered right before I left but it looked like I got home just in time. I gave a 75% recommended dosage of flower nutes and 2 L of water. She should enjoy that drink.:leaf::leaf:

I was worried last grow because my girls took so long to start developing buds in 12/12. This time my plant is following the same pattern as before, grow wildly for few weeks and then getting into bud development. I'm much less worried this time around about her taking a while to start developing bud sites.

So for the leaf problem I talked about before.. It has slowly affected more leaves. Not too many and the rest of the plant looks really healthy so I figured it might be some sort of fungus or decay of some sort (I wasn't sure but thought I saw fuzz on one leaf). I cut off all the affected leaves (needed more time to trim the smallest spots but due to house guest couldn't take too long). I hope this slows things down.....but it really wasn't progressing very quickly anyway. I am slightly worried at this point, but I will wait and see if trimming has any effect. I will make sure to get some pics of the dying leaves to see what you guys think.

Later days

Here ya go:

DAY 14 OF 12/12

She seems to have responded well to the trimming of affected leaves. I took off most of the worst, there was a couple left I took pics of. I noticed a lot more pistils tonight when the lights came on, I think she's going to start developing soon. Anyways pics:

Comparing DAY 6 12/12 TO 14 12/12:

Showing the leaves, how it starts:

And how it progresses:

I posted in plant problems but only got one response, any ideas? It doesn't seem too bad and maybe it will stay that way.

How do you guys think she is doing??
:leaf:bongsmilie:eyesmoke: Time for some COD! Happy 4th of July for Americans tomorrow.

Thanks man. I am wondering if I am burning with nutes, someone replied thinking that in my plant problems thread. I am going to flush next watering and then ease back into nutes after that.

DAY 16 12/12

Just a few pics.....she needs a good watering but I am waiting until the lights are off for 12 hours.

Holy Hell your plants took off quick!

As for the yellowing... u havent really been giving a whole lot of nuts... maybe too much for how seldom you give it to them though??

Also - could it have been from going to 12/12 and switching to bloom nuts? From what I've read, yellowing and nut-burn looking leaves can be caused from switching nuts from veg to flower... but usually 3-5 weeks into it... iono...

Looking good man! I'ma subscribe... when i figure out how to... :P

Thanks man! Look under " Thread Tools" to subscribe to stuff.

It would make sense that switching the nutes caused the burn because thats when it started to happen. Maybe I'll give a flush to get rid of all left over veg nutes that might be causing a problem.

Ahaha thanks! You would think there'd be a little button or link on your first post to subscribe :P

Good luck with the flush, hope they perk up!
