so guys i found out im going to california this month, its my first time going, any of you guys out that way?? i dont know annyone out ther so that probly means i wont be able too smoke for a week!! unless i find me some pothead freinds out ther,

ok so today is a good day i got my hps light!!!! doin it big from now on, i have a 600w ballast and bulb , and i also got a 4inch and an 8 inch duck fans, the 4 inch is to cool the light and the 8 inch is to exaust all the air out of my box!!:hump: i will be installin then in a lil bit so ill post the after pics latter,

hell yea dave. im suppose to be getting an hps light think its only 250w but hey free lights r good lights lol. been thinkin bout hooking my 250w MH light for vegg.

well all of right now with the light in, i think the plants can get to atleast 4 1/2 feet, but i might make a new box for flowering, and so ill make it taller, and the box that is made already is going to be just for veg. and dam let me tell u that dam light is bright!!! i thought was on my way to heaven as soon as i turned it on lol.... and mared that would be awesome thanxz so much,

and also i have a question mared or anyone that can answer, with my 600w whats the correct distance between the top of the plant and the light??

What kind of reflector? I have one that's air cooled and with the thick glass they put beneath the bulb I can get my plants to within 8 inches before the leaves start to bleach out from too much light. If you don't have a thick piece of glass between the bulb and the plants then you might need to back it up a lot more. I have to keep my 400 watt twice as far away as the 600 watt because the 400 isn't air-cooled and the plants get heat stressed.

yea its air cooled and it has that thick glass your talkin about, my temps get to 78 f tho, i have the fan exausting the air into the attic, so i i guess i have my light way to far then, its 3 feet from the top of the plants........

Yea don't go straight to 8 inches but I would move it a lot closer if it's air cooled. Mine with the fan running to cool the reflector I can touch the glass with my hand so heat isn't really the issue. Your leaves will begin to yellow and get bleached out from the light intensity before any heat damage. So just monitor the uppermost leaves and if they start to go yellow it's too close.

you check my plants out bro? they gettin big the one is a lil taller had to cut some leaves but its all good .waitin for them to show sex on their own but might just force flower
