Suggestions for Carbon Filter

I have a 6in inline exhaust fan for my grow cabinet. I'm in week 5. And plants are starting to smell. I need to know what's the best method for making my own carbon filter. I've seen a bunch of DIY ideas on here but which one do most people use. I tried the Zen one but it didn't fit my fan. I'd appreciate any links or vids u guys could give me. I need to do this ASAP. I also have a question space inside my cabinet is limited. So can the filter actually go on the outside part of the fan? I hope so. That will give me a Lot more options.

Yeh man, the filter can be outside, and you can draw or push air through it as well by the by...;)

Couldn't say about DIY scrubbers, I've always bought them...

can you not afford a carbon filter? get a Rhino one they will last you for ages brother...better getting a decent one than making your own if smell is a big issue... and yeh you can mount the filter outside, just take some ducting from the inside of your room from your fan. you can probs get a 150X300ml rhino for around $170

I got fan,ducting,and scrubber all £50. Cheapest scrubber on the market I reckon! lol! But it did the job brilliantly and lasted 18 months in a 4 x 4 ft grow.
Money well spent imo

It is good isn't it? And that was 18 months solid flowering, I don't bother scrubbing my veg closet...

(Edit) You could always try an Ona block?...

This is my first cycle. Only have 3 plants going. And I'm not even sure if I'll do it again. So I'm not eating to spend a lot. I just need something to get me through about 6 more weeks.

try youtube mate, they will have a video for that...they do for everything. "how to make own carbon filter" might do the trick?
