hello everyone,
Im a newbie grower and my next grow op is going to be 120 plants in a aeroponics 60site with the 60 site expansion. I am not able to get my hands on clones so im currently going to start growing mother plants from seeds, perhaps say 4-7 plants. Does anyone suggest trying out any specific strain or does anyone recommend any specific strains that they have had expierence with and liked? i would like to buy these seeds from attitude seeds website so if their not sold there i don't think i will grow them but i would still love to get your feedback.
Also aside from naming some strains, I have some questions that need answering.
Also, almost forgot, looking threw my seeds now i have 6x DNA stacked kush, 6x DNA chem dog 4, 6x Riserva Pirava Kosher kush and 1x Barneys Pineapple chunk. (ALL FEMINIZED SEEDS) if anyone has had these strains as moms did they produce alot of cuttings?
LIST OF QUESTIONS
1. Has anyone grown any of the strains i just named?
If so.......
-how were the yields?
-was the smell strong?
-were the buds dense or airy?
2.What lighting is best for mothers? i heard t5s are good but i also heard that LED are perfect for mothers. can anyone tell me?
3. Do the ez cloning machines like the 120site worth all the money? do they really give 99% success? or am i better off doing it the old school way with the rockwool cubes and tray and domes? ive never cloned before
4. Should the strains i pick be indicas because they are shorter and bushier plants that will give more branches with inner nodes?
5.i want to be able to take around 180 to 200 clippings at a time so i can get atleast 120 successful rooted clones.. do you think 7 mother plants are enough? how many cuttings can a mother give at a time? i no it ranges all the time and they need time to recover after they have been cut to restore and grow out, but since ive never grown a mother plant i dont know if 30 per mother plant is too much to expect, so i want to know if ill need 10 mothers or if a other can give out 50 cuttings so maybe i only need 5 mothers.
6. since my mothers will have their own room do they require the same enviromental settings as plants in vegging rooms?
7. do mother plants need diffrent nutrients?
-if so what kind? if not can they handle strong ppms of regular nutrients?
8. should i grow the mothers in soil or hydro or coco??? ive used soil. but i will try hjydro if it will sped up the mothers by alot of time because i have to wait for the plants to grow turn them into healthy bushy mothers then take some cuttings from the mothers and clone them and wait 7-10 days until they are ready.. soo which way is better???
9.how big should the cuttings be when i cut them from the moms?
-- if anyone ha journals showing how to make proper cuttings, id like to see them
