Suggestions on where to get water?

does anybody have suggestions on where to get the amount of distilled water that i need for my 8 Drip hydro system for cheep cause i need at least 24 gallons?

WFT do you need distilled water for?? They do great outdoors without it. My grow is using tap water, right out of the spout. I did let it sit overnight to let some of the crap outgas.

You don't necessarily need distilled water. Purified drinking water, like reverse osmosis will do just fine. I don't know about you, but where I live there are a lot of water stores where you can go fill up your jugs for 20 cents per gallon. I change my rez every two weeks, so trucking water got old after a while. I eventually spent about $200 for my own reverse osmosis unit.

Man that would suck ass moving that much water if you always buy it somewhere.

Tap water is your friend even if you can't filter it, save the store bought water for starting seeds or cuttings where you only need a small amount anyway.

Or if you're in a house, collecting clean rain water from your gutters isn't hard if you then use an electric pump to move it rather than carrying all those gallons around. Put a trashcan under a downspout and wait for rain. You can store the rain water for months if you must.

I use to buy all my water at the grocery store in 2.5 gallon containers. After a while that got old and I bought an R/O machine that I hooked up in my spare bathroom. 1 of the best equipment purchases I made ever imo.

Oh so I dont have to use distilled water? I have a book called "How to grow great marijuana" and it says that I should use distilled water for a hydro system.

so this reverse osmosis thing... its sounding quite interesting cause im on my first grow with an 8 drip hydroponic system and carryin fuckin 23 big ass gals of water back and forth spendin bout $26 is annoying

Only thing is I have a 10gal tank, which actually holds around 6-7. I got a bigger size tank so I could continue to fill up my 5gal jugs.

A couple things you should know, these units are slow as hell. Even worse if your household pressure is less than 50psi. Secondly, they're a bit of a bitch to install. If you're comfortable with lots of tubes and parts, then go for it.
