The hot season has suddenly jumped upon me after a year of rain, and i have a new crop just started a few days ago. Was horrified when i went into my room at 2pm and found the tempreature on my youngens was in excess of 90f!! has this damaged them or affected future yield and how do i solve the excessive heat during the day? I have a large extraction fan w/ filter on a thermostatic fan controller but its working overtime. would an office fan blowing round the room help? should i place my (temporarily ditched) radiator on timer for night time? i could really do with some other growers advice on summer growing thanks.

if you are running HID think about getting a cooltube.. i know it seems like an expense but it may mean whether or not your plants live or die... if a cooltube is not an option then just keeping adding ventilation untill you get it down to the 80's

a fan will only blow hot air in {no Help at all} the bessst thing to do is buy an air conditioner

best yes,, but not the cheapest... the archetypical stoner tends to be broke so i was offering alternatives... its pretty obvious that if its too hot get an A/C,, but thats not always an option

FDD has a good solution but that normally only works for flowering, when the cycle is 12/12.... im assuming you are running those lights at least 18 hours,(you said youngins), maybe even 24 hours.... buying an ac is an obvious solution,, so an alternative is added ventilation and get some ducting to vent the hot air out a window,,,, 50ft. of 4" conduit only costs me 69 cents and a 4" fan 10bucks so im sure this is the cheaper way to go,, not to mention the electricity an ac sucks up
