Yup brother, it is THAT. In 32 years of smoking very few even touch the caliber this is. It's a far stronger version of "creeper" weed. The Crippy wasn't creeper but the combination of Xmas Bud gave it that effect. Now BOTH are one at 45-49 days. PTK combines even more potency to the Crippy, adds a thick rigid branching structure to the flimsy structure of the TK popcorn cut. The real deal Crippy that's not worked is a popcorn nugget plant. NL#2 (AG genetics) added more size, faster rooting and increased fertility from defects of pollination receptors. It's mentholated pine with pepper A or B is bubblegum and mentholated pine that blows the head off, and build in waves afterwards. I notice when some have smoked this they "refer it as old school"

Seven years of buying dispo weed, and NOTHING, NOT ONE ITEM stand out in my memory of what to go back and get more. Now why the HELL would you suppose that is? And yeah, the smoke was Mexican dirt weed, we called it. Came in baggies, cost from $10 to $20/oz, back in the '60s, as my bad memory has it. Got us high. The more we smoked, the higher. Seedy, compressed, brown, nasty looking, kind of spicy smelling shit, it was. Then maybe in (lessee now when'd i meet my wife?) around 1968, Thai stick came out. Oh, there was Colombian brown, red, gold, Panama red, Acapulco gold around maybe a bit later for the Colombian varietals. But i do recall Thai stick, cuz i was romancing her back then and would carry it to her house so we could partake. I and oh, yeah, in 1969, i was supposed to buy a kilo of Panama red but they were out and i got 300 hits of LSD instead, plus an oz of Panama red, so there was that. Yeah, i think we know wtf we're talkin' about. I have not seen too many post like you have about the state of the smoke. DISPO WEED SUX (at least in my state)!
EDIT: I think i've totally obstructed this thread, but i have to add that nothing like any that you list in the OP or NL are ever at any of the dispos i've been to in the past seven years. It's always oddball fruity/candy/cakie namezzzZZZZZ, half of which end in Z. But i never, or rarely see any of the varietals posted in RIU or any other grow board.

You have come to the right place my friend. The state of what the State calls Marijuana is sad. Infuriating even. The Northern Lights x Romulan is just where I happen to be on my journey to find that special stone that we both remember. I had the compacted dirt weed. Stems and seeds, each nug hammered flat. But god damn that stone.
The nl x romulan is kind of an appetizer to the cripxmas and dankmasters crippy I have going now. My hopes lay heavily in those at the moment. I also have some white rhino I'm going to be working on in the fall, all while working through my own crosses and making seeds to pay the bills. It's nuts, but it beats being broke and sober!

Time to get back to the roots of it all. The skunk, the pine, and the gas. The holy trinity. I'm dating myself, but there was no berry weed when I was a kid. You never knew the strain either. If you did, the dude was making it up.
You asked for a bag of weed, that's what you got. Dude asked how much you wanted, that was it. It was either skunk, gas, or pine. The earthy kush was non existent in my small circle.
Now I'm looking for those terps and effects of those years, as I'm sure anyone who smoked these strains then would be. If you don't know first hand, you soon will. My search led me to a few flips of hope, and a man with a plan.

We're down to 2 nl x romulan. One was showing some bad juju, so it's outside now. These two ladies are looking lovely. They go into the bloom tent today.
Cripxmas chugging along. I'll top and transplant next week, then 2 or 3 weeks of veg. Can't wait!
