Well, this seems like such a fitting way to start to wind this thread up in preparation for the next grow....and continuation of what is in currently in the room. For those who have followed from the beginning I was held up due to bad bulbs followed by bad customer service taking care of said bulbs......all in all it cost me 3 weeks delay and 70 some odd days of frustration......capped off with....wait....wait.....wait....here it comes.....said bulbs took a dive....one of them anyway. The bulb lasted a whopping 852 hours.....this was a sunmaster bulb, not some cheap junk. Anyway.....here is the score with a certain supplier since May of 2008 (bulbs only):
- 600w "house brand"- 5 (total hours: 4110 hours)
- 600w Sunmaster 2 (total hours: 1243 hours)
- 600w Eye Hortilux 2 (total hours: 1479 hours)
- 400w Eye Hortilux 1 (total hours: 62 hours still works)
This might be acceptable if I was running a huge op but I am not.....most of last year I ran with 1 600w.....at most during that time frame 2.
Now since it is all bulbs and brands that I have had bad luck with I decided to call.....again......and find out wtf they do to their stock while it is in their hands. Turns out their warehouse is not climate controlled (northern climate) and the bulbs (depending on age) are subject to wide temperature ranges. Absolute crap.....yes they replace the bulbs free of charge but cost of shipping them back with tracking and insurance as well as the overall PITA that it is. Anyway....since my "spares" still have not been sent back to me I said F it and drove to the hydro store. More expensive but I can walk in if I have a problem.....I am done ordering most everything online.
Introducing the new bulbs.....bought 2 and ordered 4 more (makes it close to online price).
In the previous post I mentioned I had a very small amount of rot that was taking place....I attributed it to the room being cramped......well after thinking long and hard about what I would do differently and what could have been avoided I realized where it was coming from. The cups became so top heavy that they would tip.....a few tipped and the buds hit the tray causing bruising....leading to the rot. Anyway, last night I harvested another 6....leaving me with 3 left in the room. I am going to leave the additional 3 in the room for at least another 10 days.....just because.
I apologize ahead of time for the lack of photos.....camera (1 week back from being repaired) died again.....tomorrow I will have to break down and buy a new one so I can provide proper photos of at least the dried product. 6 Harvested last night were at 70 days of flower.
Trimmed, before being removed from stem
Annoying guy.....would not leave the bud alone. Got to the point where he couldn't be shoed away.....you could almost pet him. Anyway, his name was.....key word was.....Frankie. The end of Frankie's life could only be described as sticky, pleasant and then unfortunately over......death by kitty.
Wet weight total as of now:
- 3.1 oz
- 4.2 oz
- 4.6 oz
- 4.3 oz
- 3.6 oz
- 5.1 oz
- 5.4 oz
- 4.3 oz
- 3.6 oz
- 3.8 oz
- 5.1 oz
- 4.0 oz
Again, wet weight....most all stem removed and trimmed tight.....the scale is a postal scale and measures in 1/10ths of oz. I will give a total dry weight when I have it and update the wet total when the others are pulled.
Again, sorry for the lack of photos.....I will get a new camera tomorrow so I can at least provide some dry bud porn.......enjoy your weekend
