SunBlaze T5 48 System

...and does anyone think that this will squeeze into a 24" x 48" tent? the system is supposed to actually be a little under 4 feet long and i know it will fit width wise

I don't know about the sunblaze ... but I have a 4 ft 6 bulb Hydrofarm designer fixture and it fits perfect in my 2x4 tent. There's about 2 inches on each side of room for the light. But as far as width ..... I'm not sure how the Sunblaze is set up. But if the your width is ok ......I'm sure the length will be good. Alot of these lights are designed for setups in tents like this.

I have the same light in my 2x4 tent. But, it depends on the tent. My Sun Hut 2x4 tent is actually 3x4.5. So it does fit with very little room to spare. If your tent is actually 2x4, I think it would be problematic.

If you plan to run a fan or fan/filter in the top of the tent it will severely restrict airflow. When the sides of the tent suck in, it will suck right up to the sides of the light. In my 3x4.5 I am able to still get adequate airflow from the bottom of the tent to the top.

I don't know about you guys, but i went into my local grow op and untill now i had no idea that they have a second hand section in the back, or upstais in my case... the gear back there in in good nick - almost near new... If you havn't already tried give it a go ;)

thats true i didnt think about the tent sucking in hmm... cause if you look at the specs the fixture is less than 48" its more like 47" so i know that will be a tight squeeze but will fit in the long run. Also, the tent is 2w x 4l and the fixture is only like what 17" wide or something? so theres gonna be an extra 6-7 inches on the sides. will the tent suck in that much with like a 180-200cm fan/filter combo? i figured it would be ok cause the warm air would pour up the front and back of the tent and they were t5's so it wouldnt get THAT hot. i could be wrong though. suggestions??

My SunBlaze 48 is 22" wide. I have a 6" 450CFM fan/filter, so my tent sucks in quite a bit. The SunBlaze 46 may be a better fit.

do you have heat problems though?

everywhere ive read width has been a little under 18 inches and length JUST under 48.. although i admit this would be a TIGHT squeeze into the 24 x 48 inch tent, i think it would just fit and imagine having that on yo yos, it would be so perfect. just a little rectangle light box.

worst case scenario i can have one end (one yoyo) slightly risen so that it fits... unless i have major OCD i dont think it would bother me that it sat slightly crooked and with proper air circulation inside and a regular 180-200cfm fan/filter combo i dont see the floros producing THAT much heat?

again input is appreciated i wont even pretend i know what im doing. ive had a few tries at building a successful setup and have spent a lot of money and time failing :(

I have a hard time getting the temps below 80 with the lights on.

The link for the light you posted shows a slightly different light than I have. The packaging looks different, color is different, and the dimensions are different.

Notice that it is white and the dimensions (47.75”L x 22.5”W x 2.675”H) match what I measured on mine. Not sure if the one your looking at is an older model, or possibly a new model. I bought mine about one month ago.

jackhole, i did some research and it looks like the sunblaze that i was looking at will fit. now im on to more important issues haha. namely, ventilation. does anyone think that a 4 inch fan will be ok or do i need the 6?
