Super cheap closet setup

So I had to go and get a new timer as my old one was only 2 prong. $12 for the new one so we’re up to $108 cdn.

Here’s how the plants are looking today.

How is that Pro Mix Potting soil? I have always avoided it because it states that it feeds the plant for 9 months, I was always worried about nute burn.

I don’t run it just straight promix I add some goodies to it, it is a great base to start with though.

Well I spent a few more $$$. I was in the dollar store to get some extra gloves but of course some stuff caught my eye. So this was $17 so we’re up to $125 cdn.

Lol that’s just water and ferts I had to buy that pump when my youngest was fighting cancer, it was $600 so I might as well use it for something.

Well the bigger one grew balls so now it’s in time out!! Lol. Once it gives me pollen it dies!! Had to re pot to a smaller container and trim a bunch to get him to fit.

The two in the closet are doing good started lst. Seems to be going ok.

And the baby!

Lol it’s 17” corner to corner but only 7” tall seems weird to me.

My biggest is like 24-26 inches across but only about 10-12 inches tall lol

Ok so that’s good right? It’s really hard to get a range of how big or small a plant is from pics and videos. And rarely do i see anyone with a measuring tape, so for me it’s really hard to gauge distance with a screen.

My understanding is the wider the plant would mean more even light distribution and a little better canopy management.

Also more tops yo!!

Time for an update! At midnight tonight my timer will make her see total darkness for the first time. She’s had 29 days of veg from seed.

I got these 2700k 100w replacement (15w) leds to replace my 4500+k bulbs.

While I was at it I took apart the UFO to take the cheap glass off and look at the guts.

All back together and working better than ever.

The root system below him was really nice! Super dense and looking good.

That’s a 53L roughneck container it’s in. Saved and washed some roots to see how they look.
