You need to have the light within 2-3 inches of those plants they are super stretched out and thats why they are flopped over. Chuck 'em and start over, why not start with bagseed to learn on? It doesn't cost you any money and if you get some females then hey even better. Those seedlings look about like trash they will stay spindly now better to start over. Keep fluros with 2-3 inches of top of plants AT ALL TIMES.

I am at a loss for words.
Most everyone I have given this advice to has had success. I dont know whats different.
I can only guess there is some middle ground you need to find. Sorry man.

You dont have to pay top dollar for good genetics. GreenHouse seeds has some good deals on fem seeds.

looks like 2 fell off, 1 is a struggling midget and my allstar plant is front left.
not going to post a bunch of info but seems like the 2 were a little TOO dry this time or maybe just fell off. oh well.

this is getting ridiculous though.. $80 for 5 seeds and only 1 plant lasts over 4 days. FML
so looking foward to working with clones in the future.
sorry dude i reckon you sould grow in soil, i dont get hydro but will work up to it once iv got 5 or 6 grows under my belt!:-o I am sorry though dude i find the irony quite funny! all that wonga for spindley little lifeless sticks:lol::clap:

dont even feel like taking a picture of it, the last and final plant has continued to get skinnier and uglier throughout the day while i was at work. in an attempt of desperation, i grabbed the humidity dome, sprayed the inside and put it back ontop of the plants.

*in closing, fuck this shit.

i agree, bagseed might be the next option... if i decide to grow at all. perhaps it is not mean to be. the reason i was growing in the first place was as a hobby that i was truly excited about as well as making some money to support myself and pay tuition in the last year and a half of school. well i got a full ride scholarship and im doing fine on cash.. now it seems like the only reason im growing is to pay off all of my sunk cost in this $3,500.00 marijuana torture device :P

**next grow**
-dirt
-bagseed
-is anyone willing to stick around and help me get this dirt grow going? i am thinking 5-6 large pots would fit in my flowering chamber.

Dude my first grow was outside in my backyard with bagseed. It turned out to be a male but I learned alot. I then ventured indoors and learned a whole lot more. You need to get some experience in germing seeds and taking care of seedlings. Your using fluros and you need to keep those bulbs very very close to the seedlings top. Why not just plant into dirt and do it the old fashion way to get your feet wet? Get you some regs pop like 5-8 beans veg 'em then flower 'em chunk the males and your good. Got free beans out of shitty seeded bud and turned it into sensimillia. Think about it

So i dont know where to pick up bud with seed--not many ppl waste their time with shwag around here. Ill have to keep. My eyes open. Im thinking ill try to do 8-10 plants and grow in coco

Just do soil mane to get your feet wet. coco is still a soiless mix and there within lies problems when you don't know enough and you don't the cash for start up costs. Do yourself a favor and learn in cheap soil you won't be sad you did I promise and youll learn enough to get going next grow around.

so headed out to pick up some more r/o water and also some soil? my friend had pretty decent results with miracle grow. what would u guys recommend?

If you have a lowes around I'd go there and get jungle growth soil. I've had great results with it and its cheap. You just gotta know what your doing on the nutrient factor. You shouldn't feed the first 3-4 waterings after transplanting seedlings into soil.

so got back from the store today, i got eight 8" pots, 3 (16qt) bags of Scotts premium potting soil, a ph tester u stick in the dirt, and a moisture meter that also gets stuck in the dirt.

I got an extra bag of perlite that i was going to mix into the scotts, is that a good idea? and how much should i add?

was going to start with red plastic solo cups, im going to start germ'ing tonight with paper towels. doing this b/c i know that some of these seeds are probably no good so i want to make sure I can focus on the seeds that are actually going to sprout.

I have 10 seeds, 8 are from bagseed and most likely hermi seeds and the other 2 are extra freebie seeds (dna sour cream and dna la woman) that got tossed into my order from attitude seedbank last time i ordered.

off to ph the r/o water again and fill some cups with soil in preparation to drop the seed in tomorrow.
Here's pics of everything i bought today, and the new setup to keep the young plants really close to the light. i have it setup so that the heatpad is still going to provide heat to the tray, and is going to be insulated by the towel which did help keep temps up. no humidity dome this time, i am going to hopefully force the plants to develop thicker stems and also the dome pushed the plants further from the light. these suckers are going to have to squint their eyes when they pop out of the dirt :P

pics up soon.

so there it is.. 9 cups, 8 pots :P (stoner move), and everything is germinating right now with high humidity, normal temps, and complete darkness. Will probably turn the light on tomorrow late afternoon to make sure new sprouts are seeing some light after they break the surface.

Looking good. Once they sprout keep those bulbs 2-3 inches away from the tops and you won't have stretched out seedlings. Are you going to be running with those lights the whole grow?

Well the lower veg chamber had the weaker flouros. If u look at the pic with pots, u can see yhe flowering chamber is up top. There is a 600w hps lamp up yop that will be taking over when the time comes

I poured about an 1/8 inch of water in the bottom of the tray to help with humidity and the ph of soil was like 6.8-7.0 so i mixed some lower ph water and sprayed just a small amount of water in the hole where i put the seeds. Ill just water with the lower ph'd water to try to keeo the plants in a slightly acidic enviroment. Didnt use the paper towel method after all...just germed them in the red cups. Should i put holes in the bottom of the redcups?
I wasnt planning on watering much until i moved them anyway

Gotcha I was just making sure you weren't gonna flower with that light haha. Ph isn't TOO big of an issue right now. Keep the soil pretty dry while waiting on them to pop up. Get you a spray bottle and mist them twice a day for about two weeks. After that transplant and begin watering. You don't want to over water your seedlings.

No sprouts yet. I would have been reAlly surprised if something had popped up that quickly. My temps jumped to 82F for a little but i brought them back down. Decided to use humidity cover for the remaining time until they sprout.
