super leafing

hey all, this is my first grow related post... hello!

recently been reading about various cultivation methods on this site. i'm a long time leaf plucker but i'm not here to debate that worn out subject. the opposing views expressed here regarding this subject show quite a bit of dissention amid the ranks :-) thuus, i do not expect to be called a moron simply because my views differ from yours. that's just plain rude!

dunno if this has been done but taking a bit of a view from both sides of the coin i came up with super leafing and it appears to work.

the pictures attached show the leaves that i have super leafed using the super cropping method of squinching. you can get the big fans out of the way without plucking the girls finery. out of the way and retained.

1st pic is the growth that i have super leafed.
2nd and 3rd pics show the fracture. 72 hours later the leaves are still green but now hang down out of the way, i suggest they will not lift up again due to the fracture and they've done their growing already.

any merit?

Well my friend, what your doing is a form of. Hst. Except your doing it to the fan leaves instead of the branches. Just be careful when u do that because you open your plants to infection. Why not just tie it down with yarn?

no worries, i know what it is mate. growing for 35 years, i reckon i might have picked up a few things. it was just an experiment! as stated i am a leaf plucker and will continue to be so. a leaf in the way... bye bye.

i do tie down branches, you may see the wire i use in the pics. it is tie wire used in farm fencing... very thin, very flexible and very easy to adapt to the shape you need. just have to bend the ends into a hook shape to grab the branches... no knots!

trying this was really only in response to the ra ra ra of opposing sides/opinions. just another folly :-) i really don't care what anyone does to their plants. the operative word being their.

defoliating using my usual method works fine for me. never had a problem or a bum crop.

you should try super rooting next
lol, in australia, rooting means having sex. i'm up for it if you'll play your usual role of the girl!

i see no need to contribute here again... apparently everything is already known and really, growing dope is just not that hard. common sense rather that over intensification works well.

peace my brothers.

Hahaha u know what's funny bro. I actually broke two fan leaves on accident. They are split through the middle but still has stem on outter sides
The leaf hangs down like in your pic and they fully healed. No brown. Buts its funny that it's actually a split down the fan leafs stem

I don't know about you, but to me it's worth a shot crushing the stem/petiole of a couple fan leaves to get them to hang out if the way without ripping them off to see if it heals. Even if they go back to regular position upon healing, they would give the other growth points a couple days worth of light which would be enough to grow upward past where the leaf would return. I tried it on n oncannabis plants today. Just pinched the leaf stem hard and bent them down.
