ok i just got a propagation tray with a dome lid for humidity. i have these 1.5 inch gordan rockwool cubes that i was planning on germinating my seeds in. my question is the insert for the prop tray holds 72 rockwools cubes or whatever you want to put in the inserts and i was wondering when you put the rockwools cubes into the insert how tight is it suppose to fit(the cubes in the inserts). when i put my 1.5 in cubes into the inserts i kinda have to squeez them in. i dont have to jam them in put do have to squeez them in. this isnt to tight is it? are they suppose to fit easily in the inserts or is it ok that they are in there tight? i just want to make sure i dont mess up my seeds never used a prop tray or rockwool cubes before.

i had to press mine in.
they fit very snug.
worked fine.
if anything, it forces the roots out the bottom of the rock wool instead of out the sides of it.
ok thanks for the reply i thought they would be ok but wanted to double check
also how much water do you like to keep in the bottom tray? not they insert tray but the bottom tray.

i just keep the rockwool moist.
the tray is only to catch drips.
having too much water in the prop will raise your humidity.
