Looking good!
I play the photoperiod game pretty well.
It is too late to start flowering out doors.
The days are already too long to initiate flowering, and plants already blooming will begin to reveg in a couple of weeks.
You can "pull plastic" and add extra lamps on a timer to create a greenhouse space to bloom, year 'round.
I currently have some plants blooming, and some of those are baking seeds.
We collect the seeds, and most of these buds go into making Cannabutter.
Most years, revegging begins before the buds are completely finished, but I pollinate early, and seeds are usually finished in four or five weeks.
A couple of years ago a friend and I were putting together a plan to start using these:
http://www.foreverflowering.net/
He became ill before it was out of the planning stages and passed away, about a year ago. Turmoil between his heirs pretty much stopped the project.
Start up, using our plan will cost $2,000,000, mostly to purchase land. The target was to eventually produce 100,000 pounds of certified organically grown Cannabis, annually.
Once "organically grown" becomes the standard, such grows will take over the market, assuming most patients will appreciate not worrying about adulterants and pesticides.
The REAL goal was to provide top notch meds to patients for less than $100/oz. The target price was $65/oz. Easily doable with an "in-house" distribution system. In other words, a "company" outlet in each major market.
Why am I writing this?
Because this is the most effective way we saw to force prices down.
Greenhouses with blackout capability, are the most effective way to maintain production throughout the year, while minimizing overhead(electricity use).
Sorry if this is seen as a hijacking.
I just wanted to inspire some interest in learning how photoperiods work.
I really believe that within five years, artificial light will be considered a waste of money.
Even now, some vendors are selling their best for $1300/lb to the clubs/dispensaries(California). They're working for about $3/hr.
