i gotta be honest i was skeptical about putting that white widow outside to flower because of that exact reason, the longer days coming, my pops got the plant from a friend and he insisted to leave it outside to grow,,, because that's where it was and the dood said to put it outside, i guess this guy has been growing for over 20 years and knows his shit, my pops said hes got it down to a science where he can harvest all year around, i would love to meet this dood and talk to him,,, lol im sure i will eventually but idk he said to leave it outside, i really don't have a choice i don't have room for it right now unfortunatley, so idk the reason i said its not getting sun all day is because its surrounded by trees and the sun dosen't start peekin over the trees till around 9:45, it gets dark around 7 so i figure its getting around 9-10 hours?? idk i hope it dosen't reveg and get all fucked up

well even if the sun light is not directly on it it is still in light from sun up to sun down so if that isnt over 12-13 hours it will be fine and if the days start to get real long to quick and u can see it starting to reveg just build a box of somsort to covor the plant for the darkness unless the plant is to big. but either way im sure se will produce some decent smoke u get any clones off of her

Hey drews, looking good bro!

I've got a Super Silver Haze in my bathroom right now, with 5 other strains.

I topped, LSTed, fimmed and lollipopped each one of them - they're fucking HUGE!

Here are some old pics from week 2.

When my phone is fixed (tomorrow or after tomorrow) I'll post some new flowering pics. It's week 6 now and I haven't taken any pics for a month.

Later!

Great choice of plant btw

Looking good!

I play the photoperiod game pretty well.

It is too late to start flowering out doors.

The days are already too long to initiate flowering, and plants already blooming will begin to reveg in a couple of weeks.

You can "pull plastic" and add extra lamps on a timer to create a greenhouse space to bloom, year 'round.

I currently have some plants blooming, and some of those are baking seeds.

We collect the seeds, and most of these buds go into making Cannabutter.

Most years, revegging begins before the buds are completely finished, but I pollinate early, and seeds are usually finished in four or five weeks.

A couple of years ago a friend and I were putting together a plan to start using these:

http://www.foreverflowering.net/

He became ill before it was out of the planning stages and passed away, about a year ago. Turmoil between his heirs pretty much stopped the project.

Start up, using our plan will cost $2,000,000, mostly to purchase land. The target was to eventually produce 100,000 pounds of certified organically grown Cannabis, annually.

Once "organically grown" becomes the standard, such grows will take over the market, assuming most patients will appreciate not worrying about adulterants and pesticides.

The REAL goal was to provide top notch meds to patients for less than $100/oz. The target price was $65/oz. Easily doable with an "in-house" distribution system. In other words, a "company" outlet in each major market.

Why am I writing this?

Because this is the most effective way we saw to force prices down.

Greenhouses with blackout capability, are the most effective way to maintain production throughout the year, while minimizing overhead(electricity use).

Sorry if this is seen as a hijacking.

I just wanted to inspire some interest in learning how photoperiods work.

I really believe that within five years, artificial light will be considered a waste of money.

Even now, some vendors are selling their best for $1300/lb to the clubs/dispensaries(California). They're working for about $3/hr.

The DEA had already given the project a limited go ahead. The mother company is a squeaky clean operation providing not only medicine, but free meds and IN HOME CARE, for those who need it.

Thanks, but I doubt I'll go in that direction.I have two smaller greenhouses that do a good job for our limited needs.

The situation in California is rapidly changing.

I honestly believe that indoor grows will soon be too expensive, and more folks will go back outside.

If pot is legalized in November(it's on the ballot), everybody and his mother will have a plant or two out back.

Commercial indoor grows will be only for the connoisseur market in the near future.

As more people follow the learning curve, even that market might die out.

It's all good.

I like what I grow.

A lot.
