That is very wise. Lol. I grew a few hundred of these outdoors, from Sensi Seeds. They were among the tallest plants, even though I topped them multiple times in the early stages of growth.

While most the plants look and grow the same almost all have a different terp profile. Most have a different variation of Dutch skunk 1 terps, perfume, sweet and sour thing going on. The shorter genotypes have a sweet smell and I have 1 that smells like haze.

If grown outdoors and not topped how tall would one of these get? I grow indoors for my medicinal (CCL. Chronic Lymphatic leukaemia). I grow all year and have in my seed collection over 130 different strains. It's just that each year I get "friends" who ask me for cuttings to grow over summer. I have my strains selected that don't exceed 3-4ft with good yield. My problem is that each year I accommodate these "friends" who I give out free established 8"-12" plants that don't give back anything except a Gee Thanks. I have several Super Silver Haze seeds. I thought as a fun thing I'd get one up and take cuttings then take dozens off those and give them out. As they put them in their vegetable gardens and are used to a shrub like 12 bag yield off what I give them without attracting any attention from neighbours or having to worry about size. Just to teach them a lesson in a little more than a pat on the back, handshake and thank you. As each year I expect they'll drop in with a sample at least...No, not once. So if I give them this strain only and well established at 18"-24" just at peak seed planting time. I think it will be amusing to hear about (and I'm sure they'll be calling me) how they just won't stop growing. If they get over 12ft they'll be bigger than any other tree or plant around their house. Here's the dilemma I face. Does anybody believe this is a good lesson to teach people to not be 100% takers? I never ask for anything if someone comes over. Weed is free as far as I'm concerned when you're in my place. I don't give it away to take home but if visiting I have no care at all how much they smoke. I smoke straight and when I drop in they have horrible tobacco in it so I bring my own as they don't even offer unmixed to me. I'm thinking that this is "IMHO" a great learning curve for these novices to learn. I have over 40yrs of growing under my belt. When I was busted in the early 80's for the 1st time with 3 plants it was a $5000 fine and community service. The last time I was busted was transporting 16 plants in a box trailer after a breakup (smell gave me away). Went to court and got a $100 fine. The magistrate between the lines was even telling me to start again but keep it on the dl. The courtroom was all laughing along quietly. I felt justified. After all the years of being persecuted like some type of lowlife by family, friends etc. Every time I got caught growing I could never see the problem. I never stopped. Now my experience which came at a cost is being taken for granted by these people. So. Again. Does anyone think that giving out plants that'll top out at 12-14ft seem over the top? This has been going on for years to be clear. It's nearly spring where I am so I am expecting the usual suspects to start calling in expectation. My son thinks it's an hilarious plan. Thoughts?

In theory, I think it's a hilarious thing to do if you aren't setting them up for legal trouble unbeknownst to them. If, there is a chance that they're going to see legal repercussions because of that, then I think it's just a petty, dick headed move. If you are in fact that worried about them just being takers, when they come around this year be a grown up and just tell him that it's going to be 25 bucks a cut or something along those lines. Or, I don't know, just talk to them. But, Once again, if there are no legal repercussions in play, I think it is absolutely hilarious.

I'm in the same boat, I just told my own brother off yesterday. People come with one hand in their pocket, and the other one is digging in yours. I got sick and tired of it too. I got busted a few times in the 90's and early 2000's. I was looked at like a scum bag. Laughed at. Yet the same people come over every spring. I gave them all a really sensitive cut that will not last outdoors. Two people killed them the first week and came back for another one like I have a case in the back. I told them all to fuck off. I'm done being treated like a convenience store.

I just gave away 50 strong gummies. Y'all are the only other growers I know. Maybe 3 people even know I grow at all. If I had a similar situation to what you describe I would just tell everyone the truth, tell them to pound sand, and be done with it and let the chips fall where they may. Messing with them seems too passive-aggressive for me. Giving them males, tho: hard to resist!

Damn man that's a shame there's like 2 other growers in my street idk how many ik in all every second person grows here even if they don't smoke they all got a side thing going and ironically here isn't even legal anyway I shed all the dead wood from my life ages ago less drama less bs your better off knowing where ya stand with everyone for sure

Idk about that but it did win a hell of alot of awards over the years seedfinder lists many of em as well seems mostly haze or hybrid it won in

Nah. No legal problems. It's more the neighbours kids jumping the fence and legging with it. I was also thinking of instead of an oversized Haze just hand out heaps of CBD Heavy. 10-12% and 4-6% cbd. Looks good. Smells good. Tastes good but the trim leaf off the Banner#3 would be twice as strong.
