Super Silver Haze flowering stage question???

Hello,

First time poster. This is my 4th grow. 1st attempt @ a Sativa dominant plant. It's an indoor grow from seed. It was in a vegetative state for 5 weeks and fimmed once with great success used some low stress training to tie it down and create a more even canopy/bush. I switched to 12/12 lighting schedule 9 weeks ago and have yet to see any bud start to form??? Just a few pistils have now just started to show. I read SSH can take up to 13 weeks to fully flower but now I'm getting concerned. This has never happened to me.

So my question is. Should I try and leave it in darkness for 24-36hrs to help trigger it into flowering and then switch to an 11/13 lighting schedule moving forward?? or should I just switch to 11/13 without the 36hrs of darkness period? or perhaps a more extreme schedule of 10/14 would be more beneficial. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Other than that the plant is doing great.

Check for light leaks and if there is none then carry on with the 12/12. Sativa dominant from the sounds of it. Some Sativas take up to 15 weeks to flower.

Thanks for the advice. I'll stay patient. Suppose to be a great plant. Very excited for it.
In terms of fertilizer in the flowering stage; I have 2 options available to me:
an organic 4-6-8 fertilizer and a non organic 2-7-7. Which would be a better fit? I realize with the non organic I need to flush before the final harvest. Would like to keep it organic. Any thoughts???

As you say its Sativa dominant , it will take longer than most, by 2-3 weeks even more with poor management and low light levels ..just chill!

go w organics..for many reasons. super silver is anywhere from 10 to 14 week strain...usually about 3 wks into switch u will see the nodes start to really stack and preflowers everywhere..granted u gave it enuff time in veg..sativas i think need 6 to 8 wks from start of seed. its a grt plant from a super douche...but it is worth growing.

Thanks for the tips! I switched to flowering after around the 6 week mark. I read that it can really grow during flowering so I wanted to control the height as much as possible. I'm in no rush, just super stoked about this plant and want to give it everything it needs to do great. Even lots of time. :)
