one of the ingrained impressions that we have about ourselves is that us humans are unique withing the animal kingdom but as we look at our counterparts its becoming more and more clear that the dividing line is little more than a blur

every single creature is incredibly smart in different ways, that sometimes we fail to appreciate

ants, birds, frogs, fungi...

Yep true true .. even the urban foxes here in the UK are getting smarter & smarter as their natural habitat gets smaller & smaller

To me the defining feature of humans isn't Technology or Smarts, but Story. The ability to tell a story, and to carry it to strangers and younger generations, is imo the special capability that underpins all human culture. cn
