i followed the SS recipe exactly....except i added a bag of coco, and extra EWC to offset the "hot-ness" of the vermifire.......and yes, pure vermifire/coco/EWC for base.......in other words, i made a base first by toning down the VF with a little coco and EWC, then made supersoil from that, and saved some for pure base....i also added some Mycos.

What I'm actually doing now is,

1) Pop 10 seeds in Rapid Rooters
2) Transplant into 1.7 gallon pots filled with 75% Happy Frog, 25% Vermifire on the bottom
(I'm growing a strain called Chocolate Rain which is generally a light feeder)
(Chocolate Rain = DNA Chocolope X Dj Short's Cocoa Kush)
3) Kill males and transplant all the females into 7 gallon pots filled with 75% Vermifire, 25% Super Soil(made with Vermifire) on the bottom
4) Top-Dress if needed



P.s. I'm going to supplement with Hygrozyme & Molasses.

I'll keep you guys updated after seeing how this setup goes!

Just switched over to vermi fire and it seems to be working well. I usually grow my clones for a few weeks til i get a good 6-8inch root base then straight into vermifire. I have noticed only a little nutrient burn on the tips with certain strains but nothing significant. Have been watering heavy the first time they go in. I like the idea of maybe an inch or so of a less rich soil around the roots to help the first transplant. I also add about an extra 20% vermiculite. A friend of mine starts adding additional supplements of age old grow and swears by it and has beautiful plants at week 2. Not sure if its needed but I may start adding supplements around week 3-4 as I read the soil is usually fortified for about 30days.

• Use for all potted plants, flowers, vegetables, herbs, trees, shrubs or roses.
• Cover drain hole of container with small rocks or small pieces of broken clay. (Note: Be sure the drain hole is not clogged)
• Fill container with VermiFire Potting Soil to desired level.
• Place your plant in the container allowing enough room for the plants root system to be completely covered with Vermicrop Organic Potting soil.
• Press soil around your plant gently with your hands until soil becomes slightly firm and supports your plant.
• Water thoroughly. Depending on planting environment and specific plant needs it may be desirable to add VermiBlend for additional water retention.
• CAUTION: VERMIFIRE IS HOT! IT MAY BURN SEEDLINGS!
• NO NEED TO FERTILIZE FOR FIRST TWO WEEKS!

I never used this soil before but after doing some research, I've heard nothing but good stuff about it. A lot of people told me that this soil is really strong though (stronger than ocean forest and better balance of nutrients) so I am guessing my batch of super soil will be extra hot . I'll let you people know how this soil performs and how well it works with super soil so stay tuned!!!

P.s. this soil also contains mycos which is always a plus!

So what did you add to the vermifire to make it a super soil? I was just going to add humic acid, azomite and dolomite
