Supercroping and Dying Leaves. Help Me Save My Little Plants!

I need help on two things. Any advice is greatly appriciated and needed


i have 3 male plants (i think) one is growing like wild fire so i decided to bend the top of the main stem so light can reach the bottom. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PIC AND TELL ME IF ITS DONE RIGHT lol. a friend said you not supposed to bend the main stem but i have heard othes.

the other problem is that the other two have leaves on the bottom that are dying out.

this is my first grow so please any advice on my progress or answers to my q's are more than welcome:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

When you super crop you want to cut\pinch the very top of the plant clear off, not just bend it. Usually this is done after or around the 5th or 6th node. The very first\bottom leaves (cotyledons) go away\fall off eventually, this is perfectly normal.

Why are you growing males?

and why do you need light to reach their bottoms?
no sense in that. looks like very healthy plants for such heavy soil. let dry between waterings and they'll be good. and dont worry about the cropping you done it right you'll see them right back up in a day or two as if you didn't do anything

Soil looks fine Why do you think it would be heavy? And yeah what he said. Plants look great Nice job!

trimming the tip of a dominant branch is called FIM(fuck i missed).

thank you everybody! im just going to leave them alone for a while. but i would love to top the big one. any advice?

well i want light to be redistributed to the lower parts of the plant by changing the apical(not sure if i spelled that right) tip, so i bent the plant to the side. I could have very well just said it the wrong way by saying that i wanted light to reach the bottom. but i have seen people add more node sites to thier plants this way. I would love to top but im unsure how to do it tho

why exactly would you want to top it? are you just practicing techniques or do you have a reason to make a big bush out of a male?

that's a very good reason my friend indeed it redistributes hormones giving more branching, but what i (and everyone else) was asking was why you would want to do that to a male :) (lol so gay)

Im growing males as just a small part to a larger system
But male or female i just want what's best for the plants to reach their full potential
and those are stone garden accessories. I've been into horticulture for years now

You realise that growing and flowering male plants out in the open like that could pollinate other grows for miles around?

maybe you have something there... it's just weird cuz usually people just need the genetics, no need to really cultivate it, you put a branch in a glass of water and collect the pollen usually there's plenty of it. but i guess your way is good karma or something. nevertheless, consider other growers around as well like been said here.

I thought supercropping was pinching the stem just enough to break the inner fiber and the plant lays over. Then it swells up where the pinch was made into a big superhighway transfering nutrients, water and other good stuff. But you dont pinch the top clear off. Thats called topping,

It was my understanding that topping and super cropping were one in the same. Superhighway transferring nutrients?

When you top you get a super crop; someone else correct me if I am wrong.

The plants r inside, it was nice an sunny just took em outside to take a clear picture. Ok so the plant has stood completely back up from the bend
But i notice no difference really, just a small brown wound-looking spot on the opposite side where i bent it. Im learning that these guys are VERY resilient. Is that normal?

yes, very normal, and I also found that s-cropping has no real effect if not tied down to stay that way.

btw moving your plants between in and outdoors = major pests and diseases i've learned.
