If I just crunch the stalk and bend the top over, I don't really get much bushing out in the lower nodes. Do you keep the tops trained lower than other nodes after you super crop, or just let them pop back up?
Sometimes all it needs is a little weight to keep it down, that's why I like LST because I can simply release the wire a bit. But like Shwag said, it works out better when you start early. By keeping the main top(s) low the plant spreads its auxin hormone to others branches, causing those to grow as if their were at the peak of the plant.
