damn, those are good looking. really beefy for soil..
Sleestack x Skunk from a freebie a while back was a really nice looking and smoking plant. Kinda short indica mine but hairy as sheet and full of a bold color unlike many others. you will be happy. experiemented with this to wow myself.....top one time early and then when about 8 inches tall supercrop the 4 main branches tieing all 4 down straight out. looks sad for a couple days but explodes with branching...
Nice thread Shwag! Thanks for everything you've done here bro. A very simple and concise thread/tutorial! Plenty of pics and verbage to explain what is it that your doing and why. I'm about to the last page haha so I figure this is a good time to post and keep reading. When I started this journal I didn't super crop at all in flower, now I do it routinely with no ill effects. The first two weeks is primo cropping to open them shits up and let them take shape.
Went from 90 daytime highs to about 60 today! lol wtf?
Any adverse effects in super cropping so late?day 40 of 12/12
Wow, good to see some new people finding the thread and perhaps seeing the advantages of SC! Thanks for the kind words, I certainly didn't invent it, I just learned it from a friend of an old school grower and I've taken it as my signature grow style.Nice thread Shwag! If you would tho bro, could you tell me what's the lastest into flowering that you've successfully supercropped?
If you look at the last couple pics on my thread in my sig, you can see that I'm attempting to achieve the same results as your via LST.
I've super cropped accidentally during veg while LSTing(i broke the main stem on 2/3 plants that I have), and once again about a week ago while LSTing.
Basically I pull a branch down to far and it split a little near the base of my stem. But I'm at wk4 day2 flowering. What you think about quick cropping?
Or would you pass given that I'm about half way there already?
I appreciated you for putting in all the time and effort to get this thread popping and keep it that way
That's wassup bro! Wise words and I appreciate the response.
Technically I'm still a noob, but in my mind I know I'm onto something! And one thing I do know for sure is that each and every grower is his/her own artist.
A "your grow is your art and my grow is my art" kinda thing!
And I have a lot of respect for that fact and I admire ppl doing their thing with their plants man! Indoor you can't grow massive plants height wise, so mastering the art of the small bush is essential given the lack of light power.
But everything you need to know in detail about super cropping is here w/ physical evidence. AND THAT'S WASSUP!
And I've been doing lots of learning tho, and in the process I've come across the word auxin.
Given what we're doing to the plants(manipulating them), I thought it'd be appropriate to throw the term around as I haven't seen it mentioned so far.
But basically every time we take the highest part of the plant and pull it down, we're redirecting its flow of auxins, which causes the plant to send these hormones to other places along the stem, so that it can find the next best shoot to push upward seeking apical dominance.
Super-cropping isn't the same thing as LST I know, but bringing the top of the plant down is what cause that branching, and bring the top down is redistributing the flow of auxins.
Just thought I let anybody who sees this post, know to look the word up!
I'm the type of guy who like to know why something happens when I do something you know?
And ere's an interesting read for you as well bro.
I'm sure you've seen the same words in some form or another but yeahhh, it's a nice read! Appreciate ya

Hmmmm... I could've swore that I've spoke with you before, giving you some advice, & asking you to check out my "6'ft" plant & my other girls... that's odd..Maybe I was just too stoned and imagined it.. who knows,lol...6ft tall! I think this if the first time I seen or read bout an indoor plant being that tall haha! Artificial lights don't penetrate as well as the sun hence keeping plants shorts to keep lights close! But hell, your pulling it off bra. And yes sir, every grower creates their own art!
