Superman's New Grow Box and 5th Grow!..

Whats up fellow smokers and growers?!!! Superman is back from the dead and ready to get growing I am starting the new year, first grow,.. right with some Chiesel (fem), Strawberry Cough (fem), La Woman (fem), Sharksbreath (fem), and OG18xSkunk (2) (reg.seed)...btw I am taking a step up and building my new grow box as we speak....so join my thread if you would like to take the journey with me..I hope in the end to be smelling some big fat juicy budz!!!

As of this morning my seeds have been germinating..so I will check them in a couple days..and hopefully they all pop..all the seeds looked great..got them from Attitude Seeds

I currently plan to keep my first grow box as just a veg chamber..it is about 3 ft tall x 2.5 wide x 3 ft long..I have a 150 watt hps in it..with 1 intake fan and 2 exhaust fans..handles temps well..

but I finished building the shell for my new grow box today..made it out of treated and plain 2x4's and 7/16 osb sheating...the demensions is what I am excited about..6 ft tall x 43 in long x 30 in wide..I am going to get a 250 watt mh/hps that way if I need to add my 150 watt hps I can atleast get 400 watts in there..I think a 250 watt hps will do great for those dimensions though..my main worry is keeping the temps down..

I am also going to line the inside of the box with mylar..add 1 intake fan, 1 carbon filter combo exhaust fan, and have curculating fan...I will start taking a bunch of pics here once i get it more complete..I will probably put the plants in 1-3 gallon pots. I am growing them in a soil medium..got some organic stuff from lowes..I also plan to use Fox Farm nutrients when I start flowering..

Wow does life happen sometimes..the last few weeks have been rough..but Ive still got my grow going..

Its been about 3 weeks I guess since I germed the seeds and put them into veg..all popped but 1 of my OG#18 x Skunk

so in my smaller growbox Ive got 5 plants Total..1 Strawberry Cough fem, 1 DNA Sharksbreath Fem, 1 BB Chiesel Fem, 1 DNA LA Woman Fem, and 1 DNA OG#18 x Skunk Reg.

The first couple weeks of growth has been very slow..the organic crap i got from lowes well was crap so I went back to my other grows mix..sometimes when you find something that works it dont pay to try something else..so needless to say 1 week after they sprouted I transplanted them so that stunted some growth and my temps where in the 60's because my grow box being on the outside..but now they are pretty stable..here are some pics

thanks man! yeah my LA started out really slow on the growth..but she is getting better looking everyday..I grew DNA Chocolope outdoors last year and I am still very impressed with it..so I am excited to try some more of DNA's strains..

I placed another Attitude order yesterday for my next grow..got me 2 more Super Lemon Haze fems, then the free Barneys Vanillla Kush fem and Pineapple Chunk fem..so I am looking forward to them too

Whats Up Everyone! Im sure most thought this thread was dead..but hopefully I can bring it back to life!! ITs been a while but here is whats happening..

My new grow box is complete!! I finally finished up my box today..its about 6 ft tall x 3.5ft wide x 3ft long..i originally was going to put a 250 watt HPS in there but I went with a 400 watt HPS and I am very glad i did!..I built the box with 2x4's, treated on the bottom with 7/16 OSB for the walls..I built the door..inside I painted the walls with killz 2 two heavy coats..I have an exhaust fan that leads into my own built carbon filter..that sits on top of the box..I rewired the ballast so it sits exterior to the box..help keep the heat down...it sits on top of the box too

I also have a fan for my intake..both fans are ran on 120V..the air exchange is very quick..on my exhaust fan I put a dimmer switch inline with it..that helps me control the temps a little bit..I also have a household fan mounted that is blowing over tops of the plants..

As far as the timing I am using an Intermatic Heavy Duty Outdoor digital timer..love these timers..very easy to use..my 400 watt HPS turns on/off with the household fan too..that way when the lights are off little stress is on the plants..

the box is completely light proof..right now that is been a little cooler outside my temps are holding around 70 degrees with lights on..but as it gets warmer Im sure they will go up..

as far as the plants they are doing pretty good..much better that they are in a new home..for some reason a few of the plants upper leaves starting drying up and the tips of the leaves where getting yellow..I think I was overwatering them some..but now I have more room and bigger pots..3 gallon btw..i will probably only water them once or so a week..once they get around a 12inches tall I am going to switch them to 12/12..

You have made a realy good setup there sup's with nice low temp's with that light, i did the same thing last week moving the ballast out of my grow room, but i still cant get my temp's down from 78f, but fine.

Whats up dog?!! thanks for the comments!..I know its been a little while since I updated so here is what has gone on..the plants have been flowering around 3 weeks now..but I only have 3 plants left..when I transplanted the plants into the big cabinet I think it was too much light at first going to the 400 wt hps..so the LA Woman kind of slowly deformed and died on me....so I had to go back to the 150 wt hps for a while till the rest of the plants rooted better..but a week after flowering I put the 400 wt hps back in action and things have been great...my og#18 x skunk by DNA was a male so that was a big bummer because it was one of my healthiest plants..and its smelt so good..oh well..maybe next grow..

so all that is left is my Strawberry Cough, Big Buddah Chiesel, and my Sharksbreath..I have been feeding them Fox Farm Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom..

the strawberry cough is the biggest of the bunch and has really taken off since veg..the pics dont really do them justice but I am going to try to take some better ones..

Well I am coming to an end of the 4th week of flowering..things are looking pretty good except a lot of my leaves are still turning yellowish..i'm sure it has to do with some light bleaching because honestly the size of my grow box i probably could have went with a 250 wt hps instead of my 400hps..can anyone tell in the pics if that could be some kind of deficiancy? thanks

your light is fine mate, looks to me like low Nitrogen, start given them a good feed, what plant feed are you useing?
Apart from that they are looking nice.

Whats up anyone?..lol..so yeah I have failed to update much on here..but I am on week 8 of 12/12 and according to the looks of most of my trich's under the scope I probably will flower for a couple more weeks..all the buds are looking great except that my grow box is in an outside building and its been so over the norm freaking hot..if I do a fall grow Im pretty sure I will get a better yeild..other than that they are all smelling awesome!!..the Strawberry Cough is holding to its true smell of creamy berries..the Sharksbreath is actually the sweetest smelling of my plants..almost like bubblegum..then my Chiesel is my skunkiest smelling plant..it has hints of grapefruit and diesel..but you can really smell that old skool skunk..i love it!!..
