Even thou they say supertrive will deliver all essential vitamins necessary to your plant it, in fact contains no vitamins.

My thoery is that it has a probiotic effect on the bacterial flora in your soil or medium. The microorganisms will multiply and break the soil down into essential nutes, minerals and vitamins that can be easily absorbed by the roots.

To sum up, it does work, but not completly by its own merits.

I know it had homones, but I've heard from other frowers that it doesn't have vitamins. Could've been wrong.

Bottom line is still: Superthive is excellent for clones, seedlings and vegging. I don't think it's bad to add it even during flowering.

I have seen numerous messages over the years on a number of different sites like this, including of course this one, where people said do not use SuperThrive during the flowering period of growth.

Some have even claimed it says so right on the bottle.

It does not say that or anything even remotely close to that on either the bottle itself or on the piece of cardboard with instructions in it that the bottle of SuperThrive comes attached to.

All that is says about flowering, and of course they are talking about ornamentals and not pot, is; "Flowering…. to get more flowers, longer and more beautiful."

There is no reason to believe it would not have the same effect on pot plants.

When I began using it I saw improvement during both the vegetative growth period and the flowering period.

I tend to believe that where the myths and urban legends about how SuperThrive should not be used during the flowering period of growth came from is growers who used it for the first time who then experienced some sort of problem or lower production than they expected and looked for a cause and effect to explain it and ended up connecting the wrong dots and wrongly blamed it on SuperThrive.

Now I am not saying it is the greatest invention since the invention of pussy. It will not turn mediocre genetics into super-genetics. It will not quadruple your yield. If you overuse it you can have problems just as you can if you overuse any fertilizer or nutrient or supplement.

But when used correctly there are benefits for every stage of plant growth.

BT, well said there my little Buddy.

Yeah and don't go overboard with the shit either, I use 1-2 drops per gal of water, usually just 1. I use a eye dropper also so I get just a drop.

You sure can use it during flower.
I do.
try halting at week four. i guarantee an increase in yield. st provides too many hormones that inhibit flower growth. yes, it helps over all, but stopping before or shortly after 12/12 is much more productive than using all the way through...

hope this helps! :)

my basic thinking is: the better, bigger, and healthier you can veg out some roots, the better mass you have to promote flower. i use it as a root booster, then halt in flower. i've used it all the way through, but stopped at the advice of a commercial pepper farmer. he said to let the fruit without added hormones, and my yields went up 33% :O!

the bud i posted is bigger than a gallon jug :D. that's just the cola, the plant weighed out to almost 6oz, and was in a 6 site sog rail! :p

try it out babe, i am sure you'll be happy you did! i sure was ;)
