The days of CFls are coming close to an end with the introduction of LED bulbs into the market, so tonight I decided to add some supplemental LEDs to my grow and I thought I would share with you guys what I did. I got everything I needed for this project from hellmart for about $20 and it took me all of 30 mins. I really havent seen any threads for something similar so hopefully it can help someone.
Materials:
4 pack of 16w 2700k 1500 lumes led bulbs (4 x 16 = 64w)
4 bulb adapters
4 6ft extension cords
Zipties( i already had)
Just make sure that you are using materials rated for this application. Everything I used matches power and heat ratings that I would expect.
My 2 babies are flowering so thats why i got that temperature bulbs.
Step 1: Break and tear the domes off these LED bulbs. I smashed them with a hammer and then user come wire cutters to cut a hole and just tear it out. It is glued in so not hard at all to get them off.
Just Repeat the process for as many bulbs you plan on using.
Step 2: After removing all the globes i put the bulb inside of the socket and connected the socket to the extension plug. I used the side with one plug because I wanted to have top access to the other plug so that i could daisy chain them together. I used a zip tie to hold the cord as pictured below and it really keeps the bulbs balanced and straight down when hanging.
Repeat for all the bulbs that you are using.
Step 3: Hang the bulbs. you can use whatever you want but i used threaded wire because it gives a better grip on the cord but you can use zipties or whatever you want. And it might be hard to see but i daisy chained them all together, plugging the right closest corner to the farthest right corner to the left front corner and then to the back left corner and then out the tent to my power source. I have yet to find the right height to put them at because I just did did this but i just used the hand test and put them where I thought the plants would be comfortable yet getting the best light possible. They are very bright and for every little inch that my chinese led and cfls cant reach now will get light.

All organic and pesticide free so a lot healthier than the commercial shit I've been rolling for the last few years. That much tobacco would have cost over $3000 here in Canukistan so I got a hell of deal. I tossed in a $7 Meditainer with built in grinder to sweeten the deal.
