Given what you've said, is it correct that UVA (315 to 400 nm) is beneficial but UVB (280 to 315 nm) not so much?

In short, UVB increases THC content, UVA increase terpenes.
Reptile bulbs delivers both and you can use is the whole day with the right amount of UV.
Manufacturers expressly say that they are also suitable for terrarium plants.
I will take two 24w tubes(10sft.), and start with 3h/day (at noon). In the further course I increase this to up to 6 or 8h, but I am slowly approaching to the maximum.
Much better than 5min/h in terms of durability.(1000h)

That's a good question.
Maybe 25-50μW / cm² maybe twice.
Have not yet found a clear answer, since it also depends on genetics.
But they should not glow in the dark, Lol!

I was looking at the Chilled led site at a spectrum tweaker app for inspiration
I'll maybe pick a couple of those eBay cheapo 10w 385nm leds and run them over one plant in the corner.

I've been running (1) 4' Agromax "UV-A Plus" along side my 1K HPS (same distance from plants as HID lights) with pretty good results. I also haven't had PM since their introduction into my room about 10 months ago. At $8 a bulb its surely worth a shot for supplemental & you dont have to put it on a special timer like UV-B.
